CHILDREN'S FAIRY TALES AND THEIR EDUCATIONAL
IMPORTANCE

Abstract:
In this article, the educational value of Uzbek and English
children's fairy tales is extensively analyzed. The role of fairy tales in conveying
moral standards, national values and life knowledge to children is considered.
With the help of examples, the role of fairy tales in children's education, their
influence on moral and spiritual formation, as well as the importance of fairy
tales in preserving and connecting national culture are highlighted.

Children's fairy tales are an integral part of the cultural heritage and
spiritual wealth of every nation. They not only offer interesting and exciting
stories for children, but also have deep educational value and play an important
role in moral and spiritual development of children. Children's tales from Uzbek
and English folklore reflect the educational and didactic heritage of these
peoples and serve to preserve and share moral values and national traditions
between generations. In this article, Uzbek and English children's fairy tales are
analyzed, their role in children's education, their importance and their role in
moral education are considered more broadly.
Uzbek children's fairy tales are important in conveying the spiritual
wealth and national values of our nation to children. These fairy tales teach
children such qualities as goodness, honesty, courage, hard work. For example,
through the fairy tale "Emerald and Precious", children learn the value of
courage and hard work. This tale depicts Emerald's success through heroism,
honesty and hard work, while Precious's failure due to bad behavior leads to
laziness. Through this fairy tale, children learn to understand the difference
between good and bad, and their spiritual world is formed.
Moral lessons and national traditions are widespread in Uzbek folk tales,
which greatly contribute to the spiritual and moral development of children. For
example, the fairy tale "Chalpak Yakkan Kun" promotes the fight against laziness
and hard work. In this, the importance of hard work is explained to children

through the conflict between the characters of lazy Tanbal and intelligent
Anwar. In this fairy tale, the child sees that he can achieve success with his own
strength and hard work, which is important in developing the qualities of
business and perseverance in children.
English children's fairy tales also have educational value and serve to form
children morally and spiritually. Among English folk tales, such qualities as
courage, heroism, honesty and self-awareness are common. For example,
through the story "Jack and the Beanstalk", children learn courage, heroism and
justice. Jack's strong spirit and courage bring him success and wealth. This fairy
tale teaches children the importance of acting with courage and determination
in life. Also, through such fairy tales, children prepare for life's trials and learn
ways to overcome them.
English children's fairy tales also contain scary tales that teach children to
be aware of danger. For example, fairy tales such as "Hansel and Gretel" teach
children to avoid evil and danger, and overcome difficulties with intelligence and
wit. Through such stories, children get an idea of the dangers they face in life and
learn to rely on intelligence to overcome them. These fairy tales teach children
to fearlessly and bravely face life's challenges.
Children's fairy tales are not only educational, but also greatly contribute
to their speech development. By listening and reading fairy tales, children
increase their vocabulary and develop speaking skills. Also, fairy tales
strengthen children's creative thinking, imagination and memory. Through fairy
tales, children expand their worldview, positive moral standards are formed in
their minds.
The reflection of national culture, customs and traditions among Uzbek
and English children's fairy tales is of great importance in the formation of
national pride for children. In Uzbek fairy tales, values such as nationalism,
respect for parents, and hard work are prioritized, while in English fairy tales,
such qualities as courage, independence, and self-awareness are shown. This
teaches children to value their national traditions and treat them with respect.
In this way, children contribute to the appreciation of national culture,
preservation of traditions and passing them on to the next generation.
In conclusion, children's fairy tales play an important role in children's
education as a cultural heritage of the Uzbek and English people. Moral
standards, national values and life knowledge are conveyed to children through
them. Fairy tales serve to form children morally and spiritually, to expand their

worldview. Therefore, children's fairy tales will always be preserved as an
integral part of the educational heritage of the people.
