Introduction.

In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has begun to play a key role in the

field of education. Personalized learning platforms, automated assessment
systems, and virtual tutors make learning more accessible and effective. AI
provides new opportunities for students and teachers, simplifying access to
educational materials and improving the educational process as a whole.
However, this technology also has its drawbacks: will AI be able to completely
replace teachers? Or should its role remain purely auxiliary? This thesis
examines the main advantages and risks of introducing AI into the educational
process, as well as its impact on the future of the education system.

Main part

1. Main applications of AI in education
Personalized learning. One of the most notable applications of AI in

education is personalized learning. Artificial intelligence analyzes data about the
student's knowledge level and, based on this data, selects educational materials
that match their needs and abilities. For example, platforms such as Khan
Academy AI and Duolingo use AI to adapt course content and assignments to
each student, which improves learning efficiency and accelerates learning. This
approach helps students work at their own pace and focus on those aspects of
the material that require additional attention.

AI is also widely used to automate the knowledge assessment process.

Systems such as Turnitin and Grammarly not only help in checking papers,
identifying errors and plagiarism, but also provide recommendations for
improving the written text. This significantly speeds up the feedback process,
allowing teachers to focus on more creative and individualized aspects of
teaching. In addition, automated systems can objectively evaluate papers,
eliminating the human factor and the likelihood of errors in the checking
process.

Virtual tutors and chatbots. Virtual tutors and chatbots powered by AI

provide students with the opportunity for 24/7 support. They can answer
student questions, explain complex topics, and provide additional materials for
self-study. An example of such technologies is ChatGPT, which is actively used by

students to study various subjects. These tools can become an important part of
the educational process, providing accessibility and flexibility in learning.

2.

Positive and negative impact of AI on education.

Adaptive learning: AI allows creating individual educational trajectories for

each student, which contributes to better mastery of the material and increased
academic performance. This makes it possible to take into account not only the
level of knowledge, but also preferences in learning style, providing a
personalized approach.

Access to educational materials: The introduction of AI facilitates access to

educational resources for students, regardless of their location. In the context of
remote learning and digitalization of education, students can have access to
educational materials, online courses and lectures from anywhere in the world.

Reduced workload for teachers: Automation of processes, such as checking

homework and tests, frees up the time of teachers, allowing them to focus on
more important aspects of teaching, such as developing critical thinking in
students and conducting creative activities.

3. Prospects and the future of AI in education
Development prospects. The future of artificial intelligence in education

promises to be even more innovative. AI is expected to evolve towards
improving the quality of education by offering new ways to adapt curricula and
teaching methods. Current research and development in the field of AI opens up
opportunities to create flexible educational systems that can adapt to each
student, taking into account their individual needs and capabilities.

Impact on climate change in education: AI can also play an important role in

increasing the environmental sustainability of educational institutions. The
introduction of virtual classrooms and online courses reduces the need for
physical infrastructure and lowers the carbon footprint, creating a more
sustainable and accessible education model.

Conclusion

Artificial intelligence in education is a powerful tool that significantly

improves the efficaiency and accessibility of learning. Its implementation helps
to improve the personalization of the educational process, facilitate access to
knowledge and reduce the workload of teachers. However, it is important to
remember that excessive dependence on technology can lead to a number of
negative consequences, such as a decrease in critical thinking in students and
the threat of data leaks. AI should be used as an auxiliary tool, complementing
