THE MOTIF OF ORPHANS IN FOLKLORE AND WRITTEN LITERATURE

This scientific-theoretical article examines how the character "Orphan" appears in literature and folklore. The fact that the orphanage motif has made its way from folklore to traditional written literature is evidence of the work's applicability to real-world study. In this article, the issue of orphanhood was examined as a real issue from the past and today based on folk art.
