This article describes the pedagogical and psychological foundations of using an integrated approach to the formation of basic competencies in students.

Critical thinking refers to the individuals’ ability to think and make correct decisions independently. Nowadays enhancing critical thinking in learners is considered one of the foreign language teachers’ tasks due to its high position in foreign language classrooms. There are various factors affecting language learners’ critical thinking skills. Among these factors is the assessment methods used. Therefore, through managing the ways of assessing language learners' ability, language teachers can help them develop critical thinking skills. In this we will talk about critical thinking and ways to enhance it.

The article is devoted to the topical topic of the development of initiative. At the present stage of the development of pedagogical thought, special attention is paid to supporting the initiative of preschoolers. The author analyzes the prerequisites for the emergence of this phenomenon, the concept of "initiative", conditions and technologies for supporting children's initiative.

The article presents the results of the analysis of data on air pollution in the cities of the Republic of Uzbekistan (RUz) in 2021 based on the reporting data of the Service for Monitoring Air Pollution, Surface Water and Soil of the Center for Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Analyzed data on the study of the concentration of the main pollutants: dust, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and oxide, ozone, as well as specific impurities and heavy metals. The results showed that the average annual concentrations of all pollutants under consideration did not exceed the maximum allowable concentrations, only in the atmospheric air of some cities was an excess of the average daily maximum allowable concentrations (MPC) observed. Pollution index. The atmospheric air pollution index (API) in the cities was in the range of 1.38-4.85.

The article analyzes the history of national ideas and ideologies, philosophical interpretations of the concept of “spiritual space”, its importance in the spiritual development of man and society. The approaches of the ancient, medieval and modern philosophers of this concept, as well as the physical, geometrical and geographical interpretations of this concept are also studied. Modernization of an outdated machine tool with aggregate elements for specific technological tasks is one of the ways to solve the problem of raising general mechanical engineering and, in particular, metalworking to a modern level without significant capital investments. The article discusses the importance of modernization of an outdated machine-tools which can be useful for students studying in the field of mechanical engineering as well as for factories which are intended to produce metal-based goods, using different types of machine-tools.

This article analyzes the current problems of the People's Poet of Uzbekistan Erkin Vahidov's poetry. Conclusions were made by illuminating how the horror of war hardships took root in people's hearts through the content of Erkin Vahidov's poems.

In modern mechanical engineering, the development of a technological process for processing stamping forms on shaped surfaces remains the most important task of today. Before processing the shaped surfaces, it will be necessary to study the working surfaces of the stamping molds. This article describes methods for determining the geometric parameters of the surface when processing stamping forms on shaped surfaces, in particular, the drawing structures of the cutting zone of shaped surfaces, the penetration of the cutter into the cutting zone and data on the conditions of editing in the cutting zone.

This article discusses the image of the ant, which is common in Uzbek literature, not only in Uzbek, but also in world literature. In the literature, what is the task of an ant, how a poet or writer portrays it as a hero, based on what plots it is depicted, and the tasks assigned to this image, and for what purpose it is included in the work are discussed. For example, in Uzbek literature, Nasiridin Rabguzi's “Kisasi Rabguzi”, the works of the world-famous fable Aesop, the works of the French writer Lafontaine, the representative of Russian literature I. Krylov's poetic tale “Dragonfly and Ant”, Ivan Turgenov In the famous novel “Fathers and Children” you can observe and compare the image of an ant. Based on the analysis and comparison of the above-mentioned works and other examples of creativity, the issue of depicting the inner world of a person in the image of an ant becomes clearer.

Ecotourism may be regarded as a management tool that aims to reconcile both conservation and development goals. The article aims to develop proposals and recommendations on ways to organize and develop ecotourism in Uzbekistan. Also, during the reform of the tourism sector, activities aimed at improving the organization of ecotourism activities and its market, determining its place in general tourism, ensuring the competitiveness of national tourist products in the international tourism market and increasing the export of tourism products learning according to the requirements, the development of scientific and practical directions in improving the management of ecotourism activities also serves this purpose.

Critical thinking Activities can be easily strengthened with daily practice. When you teach pupils how to apply these exercises regularly, you will start to witness how they naturally approach everyday decisions with a more logical perspective. When pupils grow up and face real-world problems, they will be better equipped to solve them if they have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They will be ready to think outside the box.
