Abstract:
This article considers the issues of
effective organization of independent educational
activities of music education students in the
system of higher pedagogical education. The
importance of independent education in the
educational process, its role in developing
students' creative thinking, musical analysis skills,
and methodological approaches are analyzed. The
article also describes methods for involving
students in independent education using
innovative technologies, interactive methods, and
digital tools. Pedagogical experiences and practice
results in the formation of students' independent
learning skills and increasing the effectiveness of
this process are also highlighted.
INTRODUCTION
In the modern world, the main task facing the education system is to educate a creative
and independently thinking generation that serves the comprehensive development of society. The role
of higher pedagogical education in this process is incomparable, especially in such delicate and aesthetic
areas as music education. Music is an art that directly communicates with the human soul. Therefore,
in music education, it is important to encourage students not only to master the topics of the curriculum,
but also to independently develop their knowledge, to engage in creative research.
In today's fast-paced information age, students' independent learning skills determine not only their
academic success, but also their future as active participants in society. The formation of independent
learning skills in music education students allows them not only to master musical performance and
theoretical knowledge, but also to more fully demonstrate their creative potential.
Therefore, the organization of independent learning activities of music students in higher pedagogical
education is not only a pressing issue of pedagogy, but also an area that requires scientific and

methodological research. This requires us to conduct research aimed at developing music education
based on new innovative approaches and increasing its effectiveness.
METHODOLOGY
The process of forming independent learning skills in music education students requires reliance not
only on traditional methods, but also on modern pedagogical approaches. The methodology of this
study is based on a deep analysis of the process of students' mastery and the development of effective
strategies for involving them in independent learning activities. Methodological approaches were
mainly focused on taking into account the interests, individual characteristics and available educational
resources of students. To this end, the study studied methods for organizing the independent learning
process through interactive learning technologies, distance learning tools, gamification elements and
digital platforms. This not only created the opportunity for students to self-manage, but also developed
creative thinking, self-assessment and problem-solving skills in them.
The research process combined empirical and theoretical methods. During the empirical research, the
activities of students in the process of independent learning were monitored, and changes in their level
of knowledge were statistically analyzed. Theoretical approaches were carried out through the analysis
of best practices and scientific literature on music education. In addition, special attention was paid to
the role of the teacher in supporting students' independent educational activities. As a teacher, the
teacher should actively participate in the educational process not only as a provider of knowledge, but
also as a guide and motivator. Therefore, the pedagogical and psychological aspects of the educational
process were also deeply analyzed in the methodological process.
In general, the methodology of this study is aimed at identifying innovative and effective approaches to
organizing independent learning activities of music students in higher pedagogical education and their
practical application.
Literature analysis
The analysis of scientific literature devoted to the organization of independent learning activities of
music students shows that this topic is widely covered in international and domestic scientific
pedagogical research. The theoretical foundations of independent learning were formed mainly in 20th
century pedagogy and psychology, in which the ideas of such famous scientists as Dewey[1],
Vygotsky[2], and Bruner[3] occupy a central place. Their research showed the active participation of
the student as an important factor in the educational process and introduced the concepts of
independent learning and self-development into educational practice.
Innovative methods of independent learning are widely covered in foreign literature. In particular, the
constructivist approach developed by Biggs and Tang[4] (2011) aims to shape students as active
participants in the learning process. In the context of music education, Ellis and Kravitz[5] (2018)
demonstrate th
e role of independent learning in stimulating students’ creative activity.
An analysis of the local literature shows that reforms in the education sector of the Republic of
Uzbekistan, in particular, the State Educational Standards and new curricula, aim t
o develop students’
independent reading and creative thinking skills. Studies by Kholmatov[6] (2020) and Ganieva[7]
(2021) analyze methods of enriching the learning process to increase the creativity and interest of
music education students in independent learning.
Literature analysis shows that independent learning in music education is one of the main factors in the
development of creative abilities and preparation of students for professional activity, not only for
acquiring theoretical knowledge. At the same time, the existing literature emphasizes the relevance of

developing and using new mechanisms for organizing independent learning in higher education. This
further increases the scientific significance of the research topic.
DISCUSSION
Organizing independent learning activities of music education students not only improves their
learning process, but also provides an opportunity to create a solid foundation for creativity and
personal development. The results observed during the study show that the use of interactive methods
and innovative technologies in directing students to independent learning is one of the most effective
approaches.
Independent learning allows students to not only master the knowledge in the curriculum, but also to
consistently develop their own interests and form the skills to independently search for new
knowledge. In particular, in the process of music education, independently studying musical works,
improving performance techniques, or creating their own creative works encourages students to be
more active and creative.
During the research, it was observed that when students were involved in independent learning
activities, their learning motivation increased and their level of knowledge improved. In particular,
interactive and gamification methods aroused great interest among students. For example, teaching
through digital platforms and virtual instruments in music lessons not only facilitated the learning
process, but also made it more interesting and meaningful for students.
However, it should be noted that there are also some limitations in organizing independent learning
activities. For example, it was observed that not all students have the skills of self-management and
effective time management. This indicates the need for control and support from the teacher.
The approaches highlighted in the discussion mean that a high level of cooperation between the teacher
and the student is important in organizing independent learning in music education. The teacher should
not only be a provider of knowledge, but also a person who guides and motivates the student in the
process of independent learning.
In general, the organization of independent learning in music education, in combination with modern
pedagogical approaches, allows students to ensure not only musical skills, but also creative and
personal development. This is important not only for the higher education system, but also for society
as a whole.
CONCLUSION
Effective organization of independent learning activities of music students is one of the most relevant
areas of the modern educational process. The main goal required of education today is to educate
individuals who have mastered not only theoretical knowledge, but also can think independently,
approach creatively and create innovations in their professional activities. And such an art form as
music allows this process to be further enriched spiritually and aesthetically.
The approaches identified during the study show that the correct organization of independent learning
activities plays a key role in the formation of students' self-development abilities. The use of innovative
technologies, interactive methods and digital tools not only makes the educational process more
interesting, but also creates wide opportunities for students. At the same time, independent learning
encourages students to carefully analyze their knowledge, search for new knowledge and make
independent decisions.
Nevertheless, it was observed that students have difficulties in establishing independent educational
activities. This, on the one hand, is due to the lack of self-management and time management skills

among students, and on the other hand, it means that the teacher needs to actively participate in this
process not only as a controller, but also as a motivator and guide.
In conclusion, the development of independent learning in music education is one of the important
factors in the formation of the personality of students. Proper organization of this process increases the
efficiency of the higher education system and, as a result, creates the basis for the training of creative
and skilled specialists. Independent learning opens the door to self-development for students and
guides them towards acquiring important knowledge and skills to find their place in society in the
future.
