FEATURES OF STUDENTS' INDEPENDENT LEARNING ACTIVITY

Abstract:
This research studies the characteristics of students' independent learning activities.
Independent learning, as an integral part of the modern education system, ensures students'
activity in self-development and knowledge acquisition processes. The study examines the main
components of independent learning, including motivation, goal setting, self-regulation, and
time management. Students' independent learning contributes not only to academic skills but
also to personal qualities development. Moreover, the role of modern technologies and
resources available for students during the learning process is emphasized. During independent
learning, students have the opportunity to explore their personal abilities, acquire new ideas,
and master knowledge autonomously.

Introduction
Students' independent learning is an important and integral part of the modern educational
process, significantly contributing to their personal development, self-discipline, and creative
thinking abilities. Independent learning is an activity aimed at students independently acquiring
knowledge, searching for new information, expressing their thoughts, and developing
evaluation skills. Independent learning involves various aspects: studying according to students'
interests and needs, self-motivation, setting learning goals, and independent access to resources
and materials. On one hand, this process develops students' problem-solving and decision-
making skills; on the other hand, it helps to cultivate them as independent and active individuals.
The features and advantages of students' independent learning activity include:

independent learning.

Personalized approach: Independent learning allows each student to learn according to
their interests, needs, and abilities.

Research shows that using multimedia tools significantly improves students' independent
learning effectiveness. For example, with electronic textbooks and video lessons, students work
more independently and grasp topics better. Online platforms provide students with real-time
opportunities to test their knowledge, increasing adaptability and interest in learning.
Discussion and Results
The features of students' independent learning depend on many factors. Independent learning is
a process of self-development, knowledge acquisition, and ensuring one's own security. To
organize this activity effectively, the following aspects are important:

Self-management: Students must effectively manage their time, set goals, and make
plans to achieve them, which requires motivation and discipline.

Effective use of resources: Students need to search and incorporate various materials
(books, articles, internet, video lessons, etc.) into their knowledge.

Creativity and critical thinking: Developing new ideas and critically analyzing existing
knowledge are important during independent learning.
4.
Self-assessment: Students should evaluate their achievements and shortcomings to
improve their learning process.
5.
Collaboration and communication: Interaction allows students to exchange ideas, gain
experience, and acquire new perspectives.

be easy for everyone. Supportive environments, mentors, and assistance from educational
institutions are also essential for successful independent learning. A well-developed
independent learning model enables students to achieve their goals, overcome temporary
difficulties, and increase self-confidence. Teachers and educational institutions should focus on
developing practical skills and motivation to prepare students for independent learning. As a
result, students will be ready for their future careers and active participation in society.
The characteristics of students' independent learning activity include:

Self-management: Students must plan their learning process, set goals, and overcome
challenges.
2.
Choosing learning styles: Each student should have the opportunity to select a learning
method suitable for them, including visual, experiential, and interactive learning.
3.
Problem-solving ability: Students often need to independently solve various problems or
process information during independent learning.

Critical thinking: Independent learning encourages critical thinking, enabling students to
analyze their thoughts and decisions.
5.
Information search and processing: Students should not be limited to teacher-provided
materials but actively seek and process information from various sources.
Conclusion
Independent learning plays a crucial role in making the knowledge acquisition process more
effective and preparing students for their future activities. Enhancing students' abilities to learn
independently allows them to further develop their achievements in the future.
Recommendations
1.
Encourage independent learning in educational institutions: Increase projects and
assignments that involve independent learning in the curriculum.
2.
Organize seminars and trainings: Conduct sessions that teach students self-management
and skills necessary for success in learning.
3.
Implement mentoring systems: Connect students with mentors who motivate and guide
them in independent learning.
4.
Develop digital resources: Expand online learning materials and resources to provide
students with more opportunities for independent study.
5.
Teach critical thinking: Conduct trainings and exercises to improve students' abilities to
analyze problems and make decisions.
