Teaching written speech in the educational process is an important tool for developing the
student's thinking, reasoning ability, and communication culture. Especially for future teachers,
the correct, logical, and figurative formation of written speech is one of the main skills in
pedagogical activity. The development of written speech requires a creative approach, the use
of the rich possibilities of the language, and the ability to express one's thoughts clearly. From
this point of view, creative writing exercises are one of the most effective tools in the formation
of written speech.

Compiling a text based on a story or event;
Personal diary, letter writing exercises;
Writing an answer to a problematic question (in the form of an exchange of ideas).
Creative writing exercises develop the future teacher's:
independent thinking,
attitude towards problematic situations,

skills in logical speech construction,
literary and aesthetic taste.
In his professional career, a future teacher prepares many written documents, such as lesson
plans, pedagogical considerations, methodological recommendations, and evaluation texts. To
effectively perform such tasks, the ability to logically express ideas and express them fluently is
necessary.
Through creative writing exercises:
The student learns to express his thoughts independently and freely;
Understands the structure of text composition, paragraph creation, introduction, main part and
conclusion;
Pays attention to the language, style and aesthetic aspects of the text.
The following types of exercises can be recommended:
“Imagine and Write” exercise: Write a free text on the topic “If I were a teacher…”
Writing a response to a problematic situation: “What would you do if you encountered a
situation where discipline was violated in class?”
Correction and analysis exercises: find and edit stylistic and logical errors in a given paragraph.
Figurative image exercises: Writing through poetic and creative expressions “About the autumn
season”.
The formation of written speech in future teachers through creative writing exercises is an
important stage in their professional development. Such exercises ensure the student's
independent thinking, communication culture, emotional and intellectual development.
Therefore, methodological approaches based on creative writing should be widely introduced in
the process of higher pedagogical education.
