Introduction

The formation of personal qualities and a sense of patriotism in military personnel is an

important factor in ensuring the defense and security of the country.

Today, military personnel are required not only to have professional knowledge and physical

training, but also to have high moral qualities, personal responsibility and loyalty to the

homeland. Therefore, special attention should be paid to educational work in the process of

military education.

In this regard, it is worth noting that, as the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M.

Mirziyoyev said: "Let us never forget that the beautiful and unique Uzbekistan belongs to all of

us, we are all responsible for its fate and future."

- integrating the study of national history and the lives of military heroes into the educational

process.

At the same time, Patriotism is not just a divine feeling, but a complex psychological state that

is formed as a result of the internal state of a person, his consciousness, needs and social

influences.

Main components:

-Love for the homeland (emotional factor)

-Understanding of the national idea (cognitive factor)

-Sacrifice and personal responsibility (volitional factor)

-Sense of belonging to the group (social psychological factor).

The main psychological factors in the formation of patriotism

Stages of personality development

-Childhood (7–10 years): based on feelings, imitation and adult examples.

-Adolescence (11–16 years): conscious understanding through critical thinking, identification

processes.

-Youth (17–25 years): personal civic position, internal motivation and understanding of the task.

Emotional impact

-Heroic stories about the homeland, music, cinema and poetry evoke strong feelings in the mind

of the individual.

-Positive emotions - "I love the homeland"; negative emotions - "it must be protected".

Identification

-A person's connection with the nation, people and history - the feeling that "I am a part of this

people and country".

-Equating oneself with pride through national heroes and symbols.

Influence of the social environment

-Family, educational institution, media and peer group.

-If there is a patriotic environment around, this feeling is naturally formed in the individual

Motivation and values

-Living, working, serving for the homeland - should become a system of personal values.

-Intrinsic motivation (social duty, sense of pride) is important in this.

From the point of view of psychological theories:

Abraham Maslow - hierarchy of needs:

-Feeling of belonging to the homeland - a person's "social need";

-Serving the homeland - the level of "self-awareness" and "self-actualization".

Erik Erikson - social development of the individual:

-A person forms his own unique personal "I" based on national belonging, attaching himself to

a group.

Vygotsky L.S. – the influence of culture and social environment:

-Patriotic ideas in the social environment turn into a psychological feeling in the consciousness

of the individual.

Practical psychological approaches to the formation of patriotism

In the educational process:

-Psychological exercises: group discussions on the topic "What can I do for the homeland?"

-Role-playing games: staging historical events, arousing empathy.

-In spiritual and educational events:

-Emotional participation in national holidays.

-Videos about heroes, dialogues, real-life examples.

Psychological trainings:

-Formation of a hierarchy of personal values.

-"Who am I?" - questions that encourage thinking about a personal mission.

In conclusion, it can be said that the formation of personal qualities and a sense of patriotism in

military personnel is one of the main tasks of military education. The purposeful and systematic

use of the pedagogical methods presented in the article makes it possible to train physically,

mentally and spiritually perfect servicemen. Loyal, responsible, initiative and disciplined

servicemen are the guarantee of the success of the military system and the security of the

country.
