Education and training play a key role in the professional preparation of students. They allow you to
acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies for a successful career. One of the important
aspects of education is the study of foreign languages. Learning foreign languages develops students'
cognitive skills. They learn to analyze, compare and synthesize information in different languages. It
promotes the development of logical thinking, creative thinking and problem-solving, which are important
for success in any profession. Knowledge of a foreign language helps students better understand and
appreciate other cultures. Thus, education and training play an important role in the professional
preparation of students. Foreign languages, in turn, are of great importance in shaping the professional
competencies of students, helping them expand the boundaries of communication, develop cognitive skills
and better understand other cultures.

Education and training play a critical role in
vocational training as it equips individuals with
the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in
their chosen profession. Vocational training aims
to prepare people for a specific career or
profession, and education and training are key
components that enable people to gain the
experience and competencies required for those
jobs. To give a comprehensive answer, it would be
helpful to know what specific roles you are
talking about. However, here are some general
competencies that are often in demand in various
positions:
1.
Communication Skills: Ability to effectively
communicate
ideas,
information
and
instructions, both orally and in writing.
2.
Problem Solving Skills: Ability to analyze
complex
situations,
identify
potential
problems, and develop practical solutions.
3.
Leadership skills: ability to direct and
motivate a team, make decisions and manage
resources effectively.
4.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in specific
technical skills or knowledge relevant to the
position, such as programming languages,
data analysis, or marketing strategies.
5.
Adaptability: willingness to embrace change,
learn new skills, and adapt to changing
circumstances.
6.
Collaboration: Ability to work well with
others, build relationships, and contribute
effectively as part of a team.
7.
Time management: the ability to prioritize
tasks, meet deadlines, and manage your
workload effectively.
8.
Analytical Thinking: The ability to collect and
evaluate information, identify patterns or
trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
9.
Creativity: the ability to think outside the box,
generate innovative ideas and find unique
solutions to problems.
10.
Emotional intelligence: the ability to
understand and manage your emotions, as
well as recognize and empathize with the
emotions of others.
Remember that these competencies may vary
depending on the specific role and industry. It is
always recommended to review the job
description or consult with experts in the field to
determine the most appropriate competencies for
a specific role. [1-2-3]
Education forms the basis of professional
training, providing individuals with a broad
understanding of various subjects such as
mathematics, science, and language arts. This
basic education equips individuals with
important skills such as problem solving, critical
thinking, and communication that can be applied
to a variety of career fields. A solid education
ensures that people have a strong foundation for
further vocational training.
Training, on the other hand, is more specialized
and specific to a particular trade or profession. It
involves hands-on learning and practical
application of skills in real-world settings.
Vocational training programs often include
apprenticeships, internships or on-the-job
training, where people can gain hands-on
experience under the guidance of experienced

professionals. This type of training allows
individuals to develop industry skills and gain
proficiency in performing the tasks and
responsibilities associated with their chosen
career. [4-5-6].
Education and training work together in
vocational training to provide people with a well-
rounded skillset. While education provides
theoretical knowledge and general skills, training
offers practical application and specialized
experience. The combination of both ensures that
people are fully prepared to enter the job market
and succeed in their chosen profession.
Moreover, education and training also contribute
to personal and professional development. They
help people gain self-confidence, develop a strong
work ethic, and improve their problem-solving
abilities. In addition, education and training can
open doors to further career advancement as
people can continue to improve their skills and
specialize in their chosen field through advanced
education programs or specialized training.
In conclusion, education and training play a vital
role in vocational training, providing individuals
with the necessary skills, knowledge and practical
experience to succeed in their chosen profession.
They provide a foundation on which people can
build and enable them to develop the experience
and competencies relevant to their profession.
Education and training also promote personal
and professional growth, opening doors to
further career advancement. [7-8-9]
Foreign languages play a decisive role in the
formation of professional competencies of
students. In today's globalized world, where
international communication and collaboration
are becoming increasingly important, knowledge
of foreign languages is highly valued by
employers and can significantly improve career
prospects. First, knowing a foreign language
allows people to communicate effectively with
people from different cultural backgrounds. This
is especially true for professions related to
international business, diplomacy, tourism or
translation services. The ability to speak and
understand a foreign language allows people to
build relationships, negotiate deals, and navigate
cultural nuances, which is an important skill in a
globalized workforce.
Secondly, knowing a foreign language enhances
problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
Learning a new language requires people to think
analytically, make connections between words
and concepts, and adapt to different language
structures. These cognitive skills are applicable
across a variety of professional fields and can
improve people's ability to analyze complex
situations, think creatively, and find innovative
solutions. Moreover, foreign language skills
promote cultural competence and intercultural
awareness. By learning a foreign language, people
gain insight into different cultures, traditions and
views. This understanding of cultural diversity
promotes empathy, respect and tolerance for
others. In a professional context, this cultural
competence enables individuals to work
effectively in multicultural teams, adapt to
diverse
work
environments,
and
solve
intercultural communication problems. n

addition, knowledge of a foreign language opens
up opportunities for international career
mobility. Many companies operate around the
world and are looking for employees who can
communicate with clients, partners or colleagues
from different countries. Individuals who speak
foreign languages have a competitive advantage
in the labor market and can have access to a wider
range of employment opportunities both
domestically and internationally. [10-11-12-13-
14].
Finally, learning a foreign language can also
contribute to personal development. It broadens
people's horizons, exposes them to new ideas and
perspectives, and promotes lifelong learning. It
can also boost self-confidence and self-esteem as
people reach important milestones in their
language learning journey.
Thus, foreign languages are important in the
formation of professional competencies of
students. Knowledge of foreign languages gives
people valuable communication skills, enhances
problem-solving abilities, promotes cultural
competence, and opens up opportunities for
international career mobility. Thus, integrating
foreign language learning into students'
professional preparation is critical to their future
success in a globalized workforce.
