Abstract:

This article covers the issues of developing the methodology of teaching the Karakalpak language in the

context of globalization. In the process of language teaching, historical stages, traditional and modern methods,
basic principles, the role of innovative technologies, and approaches based on modern requirements are analyzed.
Also, the main problems arising in the teaching of the Karakalpak language, ways to eliminate them, and the need
to study world experience are indicated. The article substantiates the need for innovative approaches and
methodological improvement in increasing the effectiveness of learning the Karakalpak language.

Keywords:

Karakalpak language, language teaching methodology, modern education, communicative approach,

personality-oriented education, intercultural communication, language motivation, innovative technologies,
world experience, integration of language and culture.

Introduction:

In today's era of globalization, the

preservation and development of national languages is
becoming one of the urgent tasks. In particular, it is
important to improve the methodology of teaching the
Karakalpak language, to more effectively organize the
process of teaching this language through an approach
based on modern requirements. In language teaching,
"understanding the vital importance of the native
language and mastering its richness" [1.22] is one of the
main tasks. The article discusses the main methods,
problems, and prospects in teaching the Karakalpak
language.

Literature Analysis

Various scholars have expressed their opinions on the
teaching of the Karakalpak language in different
periods, including Juraev, O'. Mamatqulov, S. Tursunov,
B. Xudoyberganov, R. Abdullayev, D. Karimov,
Yusupova, and others. Among world linguists, one can
observe such scholars as Sahlberg, P. Richards, J.C., &
Rodgers, Matsuda, A. Krumm, H.J. Genesee, F. on the
methodology of language teaching. The methodology
of language teaching is becoming more modern year by
year.

METHODOLOGY

In traditional methods, memorization and translation
of rules is the main type of activity, and the
development of students' creative thinking skills is

limited. In modern methods, attention is paid to the
development of communicative competence, the use
of language in real-life situations. In particular, such
active

methods

as

"case-study,"

"role-play,"

"brainstorming," as well as multimodal approaches are
used.

RESULTS

The teaching of the Karakalpak language has
historically gone through several stages. At the
beginning of the 20th century, the Karakalpak language
began to be officially taught in schools. At that time,
"the grammatical-rule method was adopted as the
main teaching method" [2.47]. In the 1930s-1960s, the
influence of the Soviet education system on the
teaching of the Karakalpak language was strong, and
the curricula were adapted from the Russian language
methodology. Currently, the teaching of the Karakalpak
language is based on national values and development
principles.

It is necessary to take into account the individual
characteristics and needs of each student. "Activity-
based methods in the teaching process develop the
student as a subject" [7.77]. Modern technologies
increase the effectiveness of the lesson.

In modern education, there are basic methods and
techniques used in teaching, the use of which
undoubtedly affects the quality of education. The use

of modern technologies, such as dialogue and
discussion methods, the use of visual aids, conducting
lessons based on multimedia tools, and independent
learning through electronic platforms, increases
students' motivation for independent study and
learning.

Also, the problems that arise today in language
teaching

exists: low level of modernity of educational materials,
insufficient methodological training of teachers, low
interest of students in learning, limited technical and
resource base.

Methodological weaknesses and technical deficiencies
negatively affect the effectiveness of the educational
process. Today "mastering modern teaching methods
and openness to innovation"[1.30] determines the
quality of teaching the Karakalpak language. It is
necessary to further increase the number of advanced
training courses, seminars, and methodological
manuals. It is also necessary to create educational
materials and resources, enrich the educational
process through interactive textbooks, video and audio
materials, electronic dictionaries, and online courses.
"Teaching the Karakalpak language is not only a means
of language learning, but also a means of
understanding culture"[3.88]. Therefore, special
attention should be paid to teaching national culture,
customs, and values in lessons.

There are several ways and innovative approaches to
increasing motivation and interest in language learning.
Enrich the language learning process with games,
quizzes, project work, organize language festivals and
olympiads, and celebrate important language holidays.
In the future, when teaching the Karakalpak language,
it is necessary to pay attention to:

1-Implementation of artificial intelligence and AR/VR
technologies

2-Creating mobile applications and online platforms

3-Learning and adaptation of international experience

In this regard, we will also observe the world
experience in language teaching:

1. Finland's experience: The Finnish education system
is known worldwide for its high results. "Each student
is developed on the basis of an individual approach,
which is also applied in the process of language
teaching" (Sahlberg, 2011, p. 87). Language lessons are
enriched with games, interactive activities, and
projects.

2. Singapore's experience: Singapore has a multilingual
education practice. Every student perfectly learns their
native language along with English. "Singapore's
education

system

develops

language

and

communication competencies to ensure students'
global competitiveness" [8.142].

3. US experience: Communication-based learning and
Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL)
methods are widely used in language teaching in the
USA. "Language teaching becomes more effective
through the integration of elements of science and
culture" [8.62].

4. Japan's experience: The Japanese education system
prioritizes the integration of language and culture.
"Including the cultural component in language teaching
develops not only language skills in students, but also
intercultural communication competence" [8.98].

5. German experience: Education based on the
principle of "Differentiation" is applied in Germany.
"Individual approach methodology is applied according
to students' language learning levels and needs"
[12.75].

6. Experience of the Republic of Korea: In Korea, AR
(Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality)
technologies are widely implemented in language
teaching. "Technological innovations increase student
motivation and make the learning process engaging"
[13.113].

CONCLUSION

In the future, it is expected that the methodology of
teaching the Karakalpak language will be enriched with
many more innovative approaches and technologies.
For this, it is necessary to strengthen scientific
research, exchange of experience, and international
cooperation. Also, world experience shows that the use
of effective language teaching methods is very
important. For example, communicative approach,

organized on the basis of a personality-oriented
methodology, the development of intercultural
competence, the use of modern technologies.

To enrich our national education system, it is important
to use these advanced approaches and adapt them to
local conditions.

It is possible to increase the effectiveness of language
learning by developing the methodology of teaching
the Karakalpak language based on modern
requirements, enriching the methodological base, and
improving the professional skills of teachers.
