ABSTRACT
This article describes the artistry of Luqmon Borikhon's stories, which have been popular with readers since the
independence period, the depiction of HUMAN BEINGS in their entirety, their talents and shortcomings, dreams, and
the fact that the writer's stories reflect the recent past of the Uzbek people. The harmonious representation of the
reality of life and artistic reality is revealed by the example of the author's story "Test Period". The characters of the
story: how two friends Sabir and Jasur behaved in the trials of life.

INTRODUCTION
Modern Uzbek prose has its rich traditions and works
of this literary genre that are filled with masterpieces
of world artistic thinking. Freedom of creativity in the
years of independence further expanded the existing
possibilities in literature. In particular, it brought about
great changes in Uzbek prose. Our writers boldly wrote
on historical topics, in all genres of prose, in both
traditional and new styles. Novels, short stories and
short stories written in a short period of time are

period of independence.
Luqman Borikhon's stories, which have been in the
hearts of readers since independence, describe
HUMANS in their entirety, with their talents and
shortcomings, and their dreams. Writer's stories
reflect the recent past of the Uzbek people. For this
reason, our people always feel the need for such
artistic works depicting their past. The 21st century is
an intellectual century. Therefore, everyone should
grow up to be a person who can rely on his intellectual
potential, who can think freely. The stories of Luqman
Borikhon can satisfy our needs regarding the same
issue. These works teach people who are stuck in
ancient patterns to break through the existing
impermissible rules, to believe in themselves as a
person both mentally and emotionally, to live in need
of others, to have beautiful feelings and to do good
deeds. So, the stories of the preacher are considered
necessary for our spirituality [1.13]
In this article, we will focus on the art of the stories of
the talented writer of Uzbek literature, Luqman
Borikhan. After all, the spiritual image of the period is
illuminated through the character traits of the heroes
of the work of art. In this regard, literary scholar H.
Umurov writes: "The analysis of character and its
psychology is a factor that determines the maturity of
literature and the level of the writer's skill"[3,38]. In his
work, Luqman Borikhon fully conveys the plot of the
work to the reader through the unique characters of
the characters. For example, the author's story
"Probation Period" is based on the image of an
emotional conversation between two friends, that is,
the hero of the story, the scheming Brave, successfully
passed the job interview, and his childhood friend, who
grew up with him, is quite ir begins with his calm friend
Sabir greeting him. These two heroes studied together
in the same school since childhood. Sabir, the main
character of the work, despite being very educated,
fails the exam for 2 years and goes to military service.
However, this time the hero, who was not successful in
his studies, was not accepted for military service due to
health problems. Jasur, who is talkative, always
succeeds in his work no matter what he does. While
reading the story, the reader feels love for the
character of Sabir, but it is natural to think that he is
not as lucky as Jasur, having such good qualities. The
writer forces the reader to think deeply while writing
the work.
After reading each work, the reader should analyze the
character of the characters as much as possible and
understand the main idea of the work. In the story
"Probationary Period", the creator portrayed the
portrait of Sobirjon in such a way that the reader
anticipates that he will jump to help in the final sad
event. The fact that Jasur, who no one can stand up to
in terms of boasting and talking, could not control
himself in such a dangerous situation, or even ran
away, shows that he is empty of meaning. Before
leaving for military service, Jasur boasted: "I will stay
there and become a great commander", but after the
end of military service, he returned without hesitation,
and his friends said: "
Why didn't you stay, your
bragging was different!
” even if he did not ask, it is a
sign that he knows that Jasur's comrades are just
boasting.
Any situation can happen in life. Even in such
situations, a person should hold on to himself and
continue to live, despite the difficulties, he should not
stop fighting. Because behind every challenge there is
bound to be an unprecedented reward. Sabir, the hero
of the story, continues to move towards the future,
despite repeated failures. True, he may have been
upset with himself when he was not accepted for

military service, but later he caught himself and
hesitated to study again. He never wastes his free time.
He works on his farm and earns a living.
After the brave man returns from military service, they
go to the district club to watch a movie. They are very
excited by the movie about the squad that was sent to
save the sinking ship. Young people understand that
they should always be ready to help in such emergency
situations. On the way back from the district, Sabir's
eye falls on a billboard with a job offer from the district
department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
He was not very eager to participate in the
conversation. Perhaps, this is the result of a series of
bad luck. In addition, it did not meet the mentioned
conditions. His friend Jasur could easily participate in
the conversation.
As always, the brave language is not only good, but
excellent. This can be seen from the fact that
"... the
managers who are sitting in a row behind the long
table and questioning the next employee in a row are
in a hurry
." It would be a mistake to say that Jasur was
hired on a trial basis, which is why the name of the story
is called "
Probationary Period".
Analyzing the story, it
becomes clear why the author called the work so.
Sabir fearlessly helps people in need of help in a car
accident while returning from a movie in the district.
True, there was a high probability that the car would
explode due to the burning of the spilled gasoline, but
Sabir is not afraid at all. He catches himself and helps
as much as he can. Not everyone has such courage.
The word "brave" is a word with qualities such as
brave, fearless. That's why they call the boys "Brave".
But in life, some people's name is not like their div.
The hero of the story, Jasur, served in the military, even
though, unlike his friend, he was accepted to a good
job based on an
"excellent interview
", he could not
control himself in such a trying situation. He preferred
to run away rather than help. He did not know that his
friend could be separated from his father if he did not
save the people in this car. Not because he ran away
without help, but because he was very scared, Jasurni,
who was unable to regain consciousness, said to his
mother
: "Your father had an accident while driving a
taxi. Now they called from the hospital. Go on, let's go
faster. By the way, Sabir,your buddy is there, may he
be blessed."
He couldn't say anything, he couldn't.
From the language of the brave, only "Ah, what?!" "-
the word just came out.
Above, we thought about why the name of the story is
called "
Probation Period
". Now, based on the content
of the story, we can say that probation is a test for
these two characters. Jasur was lucky in life and work,
but no matter how hard he is, he still can't overcome
trials in life. We would not be wrong to say that Jasur's
time until he returned from this district was the
probationary period of his life, just as he was accepted
to work with a probationary period. Sabir's unlucky life
is also a trial period given by fate.
The reader will certainly have positive thoughts about
the future of Sabir, who was able to hold his own even
in such trials of life. In hindsight, Sabir passed the small
test of the so-called life test not only well, but also with
excellence. The artist is a skilled artist who can show
the reality of life through simple artistic reality.
