Introduction:

Today, one of the main goals of modern

education is to teach students to think independently,
to deeply assimilate the theoretical knowledge they
acquire, and to develop the ability to apply it in real life.
In achieving this goal, the effectiveness of the lesson
plays a crucial role. Enhancing lesson effectiveness
requires a high level of professional skill from the
teacher.

“Skill is the art of high

-level and continuously

advancing education and teaching..” A skilled teacher

always strives to organize their lessons effectively and

to increase students’ interest in the lesson. The

improvement of lesson effectiveness is mainly
determined by the active participation of students in
the learning activities and their ability to apply the
acquired knowledge in real-life situations.

METHOD

As we all know, several factors are important in
increasing the effectiveness of a lesson, and among
them, organizing the lesson well holds special
significance. There are various opinions about how to
organize a lesson

effectively. „ For some, it is sufficient

if the lesson is conducted in their native language.
Others consider it important that the lesson
corresponds to real life and teaches how to overcome

situations encountered in everyday life.“ When we

review scientific sources, we become confident that
there are many opinions about the specific functions of
the teacher in organizing a modern and effective
lesson. Indeed, organizing the lesson effectively and

according to the needs of the students largely depends
on the teacher. A teacher must first and foremost
possess professional competence to organize lessons in

an interesting and effective manner.“ The criterion for

the quality of professional-pedagogical training is the
teacher's professional competence, which fully reflects
all the requirements set by society and the state for a
21st-

century specialist.“ Competence is very

important for every professional, and foreign language
teachers are no exception. A foreign language teacher
must have an excellent command of the foreign
language and possess the knowledge, skills, and
qualifications necessary for their professional activity.

Sometimes, even a teacher who knows their subject
very well may be unable to convey knowledge to

students at an adequate level. “C

onducting a lesson

requires not only the teacher’s thorough knowledge of

the subject but also the skillful ability to convey that

knowledge to the students’ minds. The methods used

in learning the subject play a significant role in helping
students master

it thoroughly.” or example, even

teachers who have mastered one of the foreign
languages, such as German, perfectly, may sometimes
show

negative

results

in

improving

lesson

effectiveness. In such cases, the teacher’s possession of

methodological competence proves to be a very good

solution. “Methodological competence means that a

teacher has deep knowledge of various methods and
can apply them purposefully in German language
lessons. They organize lessons in a diverse, interesting
way that mutually motivates students and is structured

according to different levels of difficulty.. “The choice

of method depends not only on the learning objectives
but also on the content of the educational material and
the complexity of the subject. Additionally, when
selecting methods, factors such as the number of
learners, their learning capabilities, the duration of the

education, the material conditions, and the teacher’s
skill are taken into account.” “The selection of

methods and techniques depends on the specific issue

that the teacher aims to address during the lesson.”

Indeed, the effective use of various methods during the
learning process is one of the important factors that
greatly contribute to the effectiveness of the lesson.

Effective use of pedagogical technologies in improving
lesson effectiveness is also one of the most important

requirements of the modern era. ”The more we

organize the lesson process to engage the activities of
language learners, the more successful and memorable
the learning process beco

mes.” Moreover, their

participation in the lesson increases. This is one of the
most important methodological and didactic principles

in organizing a lesson. “The more we organize the

lesson process to engage the activities of language
learners, the more successful and memorable the

learning process becomes..” Moreover, their

participation in the lesson increases. This is one of the
most important methodological and didactic principles

in organizing a lesson. “The activity of language

learners is one of the principles of lesson organization,
according to which language learners should
participate as actively as possible during the lesson and

the learning process.” Creating a free communication

environment, refraining from constantly correcting
mistakes during the communication process, and
recommending various creative tasks aimed at
independent work always yield positive results and
stimulate learners' motivation. Increasing students'
motivation during the lesson directly affects the
effectiveness of education.

One of the important tools to pay attention to in the
next lesson process is educational materials, which play
a significant role in enriching students' knowledge.
Textbooks hold an unparalleled place in providing
systematic knowledge to students. Modern textbooks
consist of several components and are very convenient
learning aids for teaching and learning. However,
selecting them based on students' needs and the
demands of the time requires great experience from
the teacher. All educational materials chosen according
to the needs of the students not only contribute to
increasing the effectiveness of the lesson but also
ensure active participation of students in the lesson. In
addition, using supplementary materials along with the
textbook is also app

ropriate. „ The term

"supplementary materials" broadly includes all types of
additional educational resources used by the teacher

alongside the textbook during the lesson process.”

Integrating exercises and tasks from the textbook along
with supplementary materials greatly contributes to
improving lesson effectiveness.

When discussing several factors that positively
influence the effectiveness of the learning process, we
observe that these factors are implemented by the
students or learners. They play a crucial role in the
learning process, and the effectiveness of the lesson is

mainly determined by the results they achieve. “In

every lesson, conscious changes in students and
learners are observed. The purpose of the lesson is to
determine that they have made progress by the end of

the lesson compared to the beginning.” Each student

or learner should follow such a path in the lesson that
by the end of the lesson they are confident they have
acquired new knowledge and skills. This is when the
teacher achieves their intended goal. Unlike traditional
lessons, in the modern education system, the learner
takes a central role in the lesson, and their interests and
needs are always taken into account. This is because
the main goal of education is to provide knowledge to
the learner, teach them the ways of learning, and turn
the student into an active participant in the educational
process.

Based on the above-mentioned ideas, it can be
concluded that improving the effectiveness of lessons
is one of the urgent tasks of today, and there are
several factors influencing it. Among the most
important factors in organizing effective lessons are the
teacher's professional competence, the use of
interactive methods, and the efficient use of
educational materials during the lesson process.
