without a well-founded methodological approach.
Various scientific methods were combined in studying
the significance of piano works by Kazakh composers.
First of all, the piano works of the composers were
studied in depth musically, their structural structure,
harmonic solutions and national melodies were
analyzed using the method of analysis and synthesis.
This method helped to understand the creative

features of their piano works. Also, using the
comparative method, the piano works of Kazakh
composers were compared with the national music of
other countries. Through this approach, the specific
features of Kazakh piano music, the harmony of
national melodies and modern techniques were
studied. These methodological approaches served to

integral part of educational and creative processes.

Literature analysis

Piano works of Kazakh composers have been studied in
many scientific studies as an important component of
musical culture. These studies are of great importance
from the point of view of musical art, pedagogy, and
performance methods. The scientific literature and
studies used in the article were analyzed in several
directions.

First, the scientific sources written about the Kazakh
musical art and composition school were analyzed. The
works of leading Kazakh music theorists and art
historians are of great importance in this regard. In
particular, studies on how Kazakh composers
integrated national melodies and traditions into piano
music help to shed light on their creative style and
stylistic originality.

Secondly, studies on piano performance and
pedagogical methods were also analyzed. The works of
Kazakh and foreign scholars on the role of piano works
in music education made it possible to shed more light
on this topic. The issues of preserving national musical
styles in piano performance and combining them with
modern pedagogical approaches are a relevant
direction in this regard.

Thirdly, monographs and articles devoted to the piano
works of Kazakh composers were studied. These
sources provide important information about the
creative research of composers, the structure of their
works for the piano, harmonic solutions and the sphere
of musical influence. In particular, the piano works of
such famous Kazakh composers as Nurgisa Tilendiyev,
Gaziza Jumanova, Erkegali Rakhmadiev require a
special analysis.

The scientific research of foreign musicologists was also
analyzed. They considered the interaction of Central
Asian and European musical cultures, the harmony of
national traditions and modern musical techniques in
piano works. The piano works of Kazakh composers
were analyzed within the framework of the
compositional trends of the 20th-21st centuries, and
their aspects related to folk music were studied
separately. The analyzed literature serves to deeply
understand the place of the piano works of Kazakh
composers in musical and cultural development, as
well as to reveal their pedagogical and performing
significance. Based on this analysis, the place of piano
music in the musical art of Kazakhstan, its stages of
development and modern directions are clearly
defined.

Artistic and musical ideas in the piano works of Kazakh
composers:

Piano art is one of the broadest genres that allows for
the expression and development of the musical
heritage of each people at a high artistic level. In the
piano works of Kazakh composers, national melodies,
traditional melodies and modern musical techniques
are harmoniously combined, which are of great
importance not only for the culture of performance,
but also for pedagogical processes. These works
synthesize folk music and modern compositional trends
and are based on specific national and modern musical
ideas.

1. National musical traditions and their expression.

National melodies and their unique melodies are
widely reflected in the piano works of Kazakh
composers. In particular, in the works written for piano
by composers such as Nurgisa Tilendiyev, Gaziza
Jumanova, Erkegali Rakhmadiev, elements of Kazakh
folk music, the unique rhythmic and melodic features
of traditional instruments - dombra, kobiz melodies are
noticeable. The composers expressed these elements
in their piano works in various ways:

• Mel

odic structure - The use of diatonic and

pentatonic melodies characteristic of Kazakh folk
songs;

• Harmonic construction

- The processing of traditional

melodies using modern harmonic methods;

• Rhythmic structure

- The unique changing rhythmic

forms of folk melodies give the works a deep dynamic
expression.

As an example, compositions based on folk melodies
can be cited in the piano works of Gaziza Jumanova. In
his works, national melodies are combined with
modern piano technique and serve as the main focus of
the artistic idea.

2. Artistic concept and stylistic directions in piano
works

In the piano work of Kazakh composers, artistic ideas
are mainly formed around the following directions:

• Nature imagery and lyrics

- images such as the vast

steppes of Kazakhstan, mountain landscapes, and the
gentle breeze of the steppe are reflected in piano
music. For example, in works such as "Steppe Voices"
by Erkegali Rakhmadiev, the majesty of nature is
reflected through soft, lyrical melodies and strong
dynamic contrasts.

• Historical and epic motifs

- Ancient Kazakh heroes,

folk epics are musically embodied in piano works.
Works in this direction feature strong chords, rhythmic
structures oriented towards epic action, and solid
harmonic foundations.

• Modern expre

ssionism and avant-garde elements

Some composers, including representatives of the
Kazakh modern music school, have implemented
innovative directions in their piano works. In piano
works written in this style, methods such as polyphony,
sonoristics, atonalistic ideas, and the use of cluster
chords are noticeable.

3. Pedagogical and performance aspects of piano
works

Many piano works are also used in the pedagogical
process. Etudes, preludes, and sonatins created by
composers serve to improve the technical skills of
students and develop their artistic thinking. In
particular, miniatures based on national melodies
included in the curriculum also help young performers
master piano culture.

In the piano works of Kazakh composers, national
traditions, modern compositional techniques, and
artistic ideas are harmoniously combined, creating a
unique direction in piano work. Their works are of great
importance both from a musical aesthetic point of view
and from a pedagogical point of view. The national
melody and artistic ideas expressed through the art of
the piano make a great contribution to the
development of the musical art of Kazakhstan. The
piano work of Kazakh composers is very rich, and their
works emdiv national melodies, modern musical
ideas and various compositional techniques. Below are
examples of piano works by some famous composers:

• This work is dominated by the unique melodies and

lyrical mood of Kazakh folk music.

the

romantic direction.

and traditional elements.

2. Erkegali Rakhmadiev - "Voices of the Steppe".

• The work reflects the rhythmic and melodic motifs of

Kazakh folk melodies.

• Strong chords and epic

character give the work a

strong drama.

• Effectively uses piano technique, creating a wide

-

ranging image through the instrument.

3. Nurgisa Tilendiyev

"Images of Kazakhstan".

• This work consists of a collection of piano pieces that

include various melodies of Kazakh national music.

• The musical images are wide and pictorial,

reminiscent of natural landscapes.

• One of the technically uncomplicated, but artistically

rich works.

4. Kuat Shildebaev

"Dombra Melodies"

• This work, written for

piano, reflects the unique

rhythmic forms of dombra melodies.

• The complex mutual movement of the right and left

hands requires an interesting style of performance.

• The work is a harmonious example of national and

modern compositional techniques.

5. Almas Serkebaev

"Youth Waltz"

• This work is distinguished by its romantic mood and

elegant melodies.

• The beauty of the rhythm and melody characteristic

of the waltz is the main expressive means of the work.

• One of the most elegant and popular works in

the

musical heritage of Kazakhstan for piano.

These examples show what artistic and musical ideas
Kazakh composers put forward in their piano work.
Each of them combines national melodies with modern
piano techniques, creating a meaningful musical
experience for both performers and listeners.

CONCLUSION

Piano works by Kazakh composers play an important
role in the development of national musical art. As a
result of their creative research, Kazakh folk melodies,
traditional melodies, and modern compositional
methods are harmoniously reflected in piano music.
This article analyzes the artistic and musical ideas of
piano works, their role in the performance and
pedagogical process, as well as the unique styles of
composers. The analysis shows that the piano works of
Kazakh composers serve not only to preserve the
national musical heritage, but also to enrich it with new
modern interpretations. Composers reinterpret
melodic, rhythmic, and harmonic elements inherent in
national music in piano works, creating them in a
synthesis of folk music traditions and modern
compositional techniques. In general, the piano works
of Kazakh composers occupy a special place in the
development of national and world musical art. Their
work serves not only to increase the prestige of
national musical culture, but also to develop
international musical cooperation. Thus, a more in-
depth study of this topic and the analysis of new
creative approaches remains one of the promising
scientific directions.
