OPPORTUNITIES AND PROBLEMS OF CREATING MODERN ART WORKS USING

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

The article highlights the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on the field of

fine arts, its changes in education, the creative process, and the creation of works of art.

Suggestions and recommendations for the effective use of AI tools are provided.

Introduction.

The development of modern technologies, in particular, achievements in the field of artificial

intelligence (AI), leads to profound changes in the field of art. Fine art, as an artistic expression

of human feelings, aesthetic views, and attitudes towards society, has long been based on a

creative approach. However, the development of modern algorithms and AI models has brought

new paradigms to this field. Digital forms of art fundamentally change the approach to creative

processes, expanding the possibilities of creating and using works of art. Modern art is formed

under the influence of digital technologies and offers innovative approaches to creative

processes. The principles of creating virtual and interactive forms of art are constantly evolving

and continuing to change alongside digital art technologies.

Main Part.

As artificial intelligence technologies and their application in fine arts, progress in

the field of artificial intelligence (AI) has opened up new opportunities for fine arts, especially

through the development of modern teaching, generative models (GAN - Generative

Adversarial Networks), and in-depth learning algorithms. For example, the DALL·E model

developed by OpenAI provides excellent opportunities for creating text-based images. Such

systems are based on the expression of visual thinking in the creation of a work of art through

mathematical models.

Contemporary AI art projects and their analysis One of the first projects in the field of AI art

that attracted public attention was the portrait of “Edmond de Belamy”, created with the help of

AI by the Obvious group in 2018. This work was sold at Christie's auction for 432,500 US

dollars, demonstrating the potential of artificial intelligence in the art market.

Another popular project is “Machine Hallucinations”, developed by Refik Anadol. He creates

new aesthetic images through generative art, using a mass database.

Aesthetic and ethical aspects of works of art created with the help of AI Works of art created

with the help of artificial intelligence can be similar to works created by man in a traditional

style. However, how to assess the aesthetic value of these works has not yet been fully formed.

Some experts consider such art to be a collection of artificial images devoid of human emotions.

Others argue that this can be effectively used when thinking about an idea. However, copyright

issues are also arising in this regard: who owns the work created by AI? - To the author of the

program, the user, or the AI system itself?

The most important thing for children is to create a dynamic environment for the development

of their creative and thinking abilities. The use of AI tools in fine arts education is important for

the development of students' visual thinking, the study of new aesthetic concepts, and the

formation of skills in using modern technologies. “If we educate children today as we did

yesterday, we steal their tomorrow”, said the American philosopher and educator John Deane.

The modern pace of informatization, widespread digitalized education and systems change

approaches to education. Such methods as interactive exercises through AI, the creation of

algorithmic compositions, and the creation of digital collages bring art education to an

innovative level. Such applications and programs are being added to the fine arts curriculum in

general education schools (Krita, Gimp, SketchBook Pro, etc.).

Suggestions and recommendations.

Special electronic platforms for fine arts should be developed using AI tools.

Modern digital technologies, especially artificial intelligence (AI) tools, are deeply penetrating

the field of fine arts. Therefore, the creation of special electronic platforms based on AI

technologies is of great importance. Through such platforms, students, teachers, and

independent artists will have the opportunity to create, analyze, learn, and share works of art

using AI. These platforms should provide training models, machine learning image creation

tools, online classes, portfolios, and an environment for professional exchange of ideas.

In educational institutions specializing in fine arts, classes aimed at working with digital works

created on the basis of AI should be introduced. Fine arts education should be improved in

accordance with the modern digital environment. In particular, the introduction of special

classes on working with digital works created on the basis of AI will increase students'

adaptation to new technologies, creative thinking, and the level of readiness for the modern art

market. In these classes, students learn to work with AI tools such as DALL·E, Midjourney,

Adobe Firefly, image analysis, their technological foundations and aesthetic features.

It is recommended to allocate separate nominations for works using AI tools in creative

competitions and exhibitions.

Works of art created with the help of AI differ from traditional creative approaches. Therefore,

at art competitions and exhibitions, special nominations should be established for such works

(for example, “Best AI-digital work”, “Innovative composition created in collaboration with

AI”). This not only attracts the attention of art lovers, but also encourages young artists to work

with AI tools and contributes to the development of modern art trends.

Conclusion.

AI technologies have ushered in a new era in art. Works of fine art created with the help of AI

are not only technically complex, but also change views about art by reflecting an algorithmic

model of human aesthetic thinking. This requires new aesthetic criteria, new evaluation

principles, and new creative freedoms. The examples and analyses presented in the article show

that AI tools play an important role in art education, practice, and theory. In the future, artificial

intelligence and human creativity are expected to form a new art paradigm in cooperation.
