Abstract:

In this article, the artistic skill of the talented poet Abdulla Sher in his lyrics, his

contribution to Uzbek literature is scientifically analyzed on the example of his poems.

Key words:

artistic skill, artistic expression, visual means, diversity of themes, metaphor,

exaggeration.

Abdulla Sher belongs to the group of word artists whose skill grows and his pen sharpens,

growing from work to work, from book to book. If we mean the increasingly perfect skill and

rising artistry with creative productivity, the role and services of the creator in the development

of Uzbek literature will become clearer. It is appropriate to study the work of Abdulla Sher in

four directions.

1. Poetic works
2. Translations

3. Philosophical and ethical works

It is no exaggeration to include the poet's lyric poems among the best examples of Uzbek

poetry. Translations are of special importance because they are directly translated from the

original. The fact that his philosophical and ethical works are used as textbooks in all

educational centers of our country is also a bright sign of recognition. He is the owner of the pen

who responds to the events of today's reality with his journalistic articles and pamphlets on

topical social issues."The originality of Abdullah Sher's poems is not seen in the urgency of the

content or the novelty of the subject. On the contrary, Abdulla, like other poets, sings about the

Motherland, about labor, about man and his life. However, the poet sings about them in a new

tone", O. Sharafiddinov was right when he wrote" [4:73]. In fact, no matter what topic the poet

touches, he sings in a new spirit, in a unique tone, and through his poems, he strives to raise the

spiritual and aesthetic taste of the reader, to give him spiritual nourishment. Zia is a poet who is

demanding of himself and others. en. The article "Reading more enriches your soul" published

on March 17, 2013, contains the following sentences: "I would not advise reading books that do

not rise to the level of a work of art. Because such books reduce the artistic-aesthetic taste of the

reader, enliven his imagination about the artistic work; removes the student from figurative

thinking; destroys the literary language, has a negative impact on language culture; incomplete

images, incomplete characters, incomplete artistic reality confuses the reader's understanding of

life. In addition, every work of art is beautiful in terms of formal perfection, and a book that

does not rise to the level of a work of art lacks this beauty." [1:4]

These views of the poet-philosopher are correct, works that are not artistically mature limit the

world of the reader's imagination and limit his thinking. Following his views, the poet creates

lyrical poems that are harmonious in form and content, urging people to observe.

"The vital material that excites the writer and makes him shake his pen is called "subject". The

theme is usually born along with the social or moral problem that the writer wants to cover. The

topic is a vital and social-ethical issue that still requires artistic formation in the writer's mind

and heart." [3:96]

We will consider these theoretical views of the literary critic within the scope of topics chosen

by Abdulla Sher. The ideas and goals of the creator are the basis of his literary works. The

theme consists of life materials given in the work and it is the life realities expressed in the work.

It should be noted that the topic is chosen depending on the content of the work. How to choose

a topic depends on each creator.Abdulla Sher pays serious attention to the subject of each of his

works. He chooses the most important problems of the time, life issues as the subject of his

works. He strives to make his works worthy of the high status of his artistic taste. His works,

especially his lyrical poems, artistic translations are a clear proof of this.

In his poems dedicated to the theme of the homeland, he uses artistic, pictorial and special

expressive means of language in order to strengthen the character of emotionality. We see this in

the example of the following poem:

Homeland! This is my history, my fight, my art,

A big heart in my white cotton!
Homeland! This is my friendship, my joy, my work,
A desire that calls the sun to the heart! [1:42]

The poet uses a metaphor, that is, a closed simile, in the lines. Through the words of

history, battle, art, he expresses the image of the Motherland, the poet imagines something

similar by using metaphors. A large heart is called litota, and it resembles a heart by artistically

reducing the symbol of the Motherland. The poet describes the symbol of the Motherland in a

way that is extremely small compared to its size, that is, he uses the method of extremely small

exaggeration.

Poems expressing the theme of the homeland include such poems as "Vatan", "Bu

olkaning", "Bukhara", "White cotton", "Discovering Samarkand", "Alkov". In these poems, he

uses artistic-descriptive and descriptive means to give originality and attractiveness to the

content of the poems. When describing the homeland, he vividly embodies its nature, secluded

corners, unique landscapes with the help of stylistic, syntactic figures, poetic movements.

Choosing a topic and its artistic expression is a very serious issue: "The topic of a

literary work must be important. Accordingly, the writer cannot be indifferent to the choice of

topic. The writer's outlook and consciousness play an important role in choosing a topic. The

writer, who is an advanced child of the times, always pays attention to the actual issues of life

and writes about them. Our literature is incredibly rich in terms of subject matter." [2:101]
These theoretical opinions of the literary critic T. Boboyev are directly related to Abdulla Sher,

because the poet was not indifferent to the choice of topic, the range of topics in his lyrics is

diverse. The theme of love is also widely present in his works. The poet effectively uses artistic

images and means of expression to illuminate the theme of love. The fiery, warm, passionate

feelings of love in his poems are mixed with unexpected allusions, new tones, and formal

perfection:

"First love", "First love",
Songs are sung, poems are written.
Sometimes he couldn't get out of the box,
Sometimes the pride turned into a cry. [1:8]

He sometimes strengthens the description of love through exaggeration and hyperbole, a sepo-

poetic movement that could not get out of the box. Pride, sometimes turned into a cry, revives

the feelings of the hero through exaggeration and increases the artistic and aesthetic functionality.
