The aim was to study the prevalence and risk factors for the development of dental diseases in pregnant women living in various regions of Uzbekistan. The prevalence and intensity of dental caries among pregnant women is significantly higher in the Urgench district of the Khorezm region in comparison with the Kibray district of the Tashkent region by 1.3 times. These rates increase with each subsequent pregnancy. A similar picture is observed for periodontal disease and oral mucosa. The most significant biomedical factors contributing to the development of dental diseases in pregnant women were age, number of pregnancies, intcrgcnctic period, course and duration of pregnancy, and the presence of extragenital diseases. Among the medical and social risk factors, the most significant were education, living conditions, adherence to oral hygiene, the level of sanitary culture and medical activity of pregnant women.
