The high prevalence of such diseases as dental caries and periodontal disease among children in Uzbekistan dictates the need for effective and accessible methods of prevention. Preventive measures in the 5th children's dental polyclinic are divided into two sections: educational (teaching children oral hygiene, proper nutrition, methods of prevention of dental diseases) and medical (conducting medical and preventive measures). For this purpose the department of primary examination with control and teaching hygienic skills was resumed in the polyclinic. Stomatological offices have been re-established in six schools, and on-line health classes are held in 10 schools and two orphanages in the Olmazor district. Particular attention is paid to hygiene education, adequate individual hygiene, good motivation, timely fissure sealing, rem therapy.
A comprehensive approach to planning and implementing preventive measures increases the effectiveness of dental prevention. However, no matter how actively dentists work, the health of children depends largely on the level of awareness and the degree of responsibility of parents in the prevention and treatment of dental diseases.
