This article is devoted to the current problem of restoring lost teeth using the method of replacement therapy - "wisdom teeth" transplantation. The purpose of the work was to study the current state of the problem and evaluate the effectiveness of using the method of autotransplantation of wisdom teeth to replace lost or to be removed large molars. To achieve this goal, it was planned to study the data of scientomctric databases for the last 50 years, to study the modem approach to the issue of autotransplantation of teeth, and to conduct a retrospective analysis of the data. A detailed study of this topic will allow dentists to use the method of preserving the third molars, which are usually subject to removal to restore the continuity of the dentition in the absence of molars and sanitize foci of odontogenic infection, without violating the chewing efficiency. Based on a review of Russian and foreign scientomctric databases (Elibrary, Cyberleninka, Pubmed), the paper presents historical aspects, current state of the problem, and prospects for the development of third molar autotransplantation in dentistry. The study is based on the results of experimental data, description of the Protocol and types of cauterization of autotransplanted teeth, prognosis in various clinical situations, and proved the effectiveness of this method. The clinical experience of many authors is shown, the frequency of complications and the survival rate of autotransplanted teeth are shown. The delayed results of autotransplantation techniques in dental practice arc summarized and presented. As a result of the analysis presented in this article, the frequency of complications after autotransplantation of teeth is given, factors affecting the outcome of the operation are identified, and recommendations for more effective implementation of this technique are given.
