REGENERATIVE POTENTIAL OF BONE TISSUE IN THE CONSERVATIVE TREATMENT OF CHRONIC APICAL PERIODONTITIS

ABSTRACT. Modem disinfection methods involve exposure to biofilm in the root canal system. The purpose of this study is to increase the effectiveness of the treatment of chronic apical periodontitis. The study studied the effects of the developed paste based on calcium hydroxide; ciprofloxacin; minocycline; mctronidosol and chlorhcxidinc bigluconatc solution in comparison with the dental material based on calcium hydroxide “Calcept”. The effectiveness of the treatment was confirmed by cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), assessing the density of lesions according to the maximum indications in the projection of the focus of destruction. The values of the indicator in each group were compared at follow-up periods: before treatment, 3, 6, 12, 18, 24 months after the start of treatment. The results of clinical testing at different stages showed a statistically significant increase in density in the groups over time after the start of treatment. Statistically confirmed the possibility of dynamic observation and analysis of treatment with the help of CBCT - optical indicator - the time of observation factor, the second factor is the group of patients. A statistically significant influence of the factor associated with the observation group (p=0.011) on the values of the density index was established, which indicated the dependence of the restoration of periapical foci on the drug used. This indicates a positive dynamics of treatment in each group. A correlation analysis was carried out and the regression coefficient was determined. This allowed us to confirm the effectiveness of the developed paste for temporary filling of root canals in the treatment of chronic apical periodontitis. The paste has high antiinflammatory, antiseptic and reparative properties. They make it possible to optimize the reparative process of osteogenesis in periapical tissues by reliably eliminating pathogenic microflora in the root canal system.
