Introduction

.

The modern educational process is of great importance not only in

providing theoretical knowledge, but also in directing students to acquire life
competencies. In today's globalization, ensuring the physical and mental health
of young people and teaching them to live in harmony with the environment has
become an urgent issue. Recreational tourism plays a special role in such a
process.

Traveling in nature, self-management in extreme conditions, working in a

group and making independent decisions are important tools for developing
students' life skills. Camping in the foothills, hiking, water sports and ecological
expeditions serve not only for physical fitness, but also for the formation of
problem-solving skills. Also, through such activities, students acquire important
skills such as teamwork, communication and stress resistance.

Another important aspect of recreational tourism is that it teaches students

to feel nature, understand ecological culture and treat it with care. This is
important not only for personal development, but also for creating a sustainable
environment for future generations. Therefore, recreational tourism is not only
a means of recreation, but also an educational process that serves the
comprehensive development of students.

Based on this approach, the article analyzes the impact of recreational

tourism on students' life skills, and the importance of its integration into the
educational system is scientifically revealed.

A comprehensive methodological approach was used to analyze

recreational tourism and its role in the development of students' life
competencies. Because this process is not a simple study based on a single
theoretical basis, but includes complex interactions related to human
psychology, pedagogy, sociology, and ecology. Therefore, theoretical and applied
research methods were used in harmony as a methodological basis.

First of all, advanced scientific sources on recreational tourism and life

competencies were studied through theoretical analysis. Important theoretical
views in the field of pedagogy, psychology, and social sciences were analyzed,
and a research methodology was developed based on the ideas put forward
regarding the impact of recreational tourism on personal development. Through
this, general conclusions were drawn about how effective the integration of
recreational tourism into the educational process can be for students.

The practical part of the study was conducted on the basis of experimental

research. At this stage, recreational tourism events were organized with the
participation of students and their impact on their personal development was
studied. In particular, the extent to which students participated in various
outdoor activities and mastered skills such as teamwork, problem solving, and
stress resistance was assessed. In this process, observation and diagnostic
methods were used that realistically and accurately demonstrate the impact of
recreational tourism among students. In addition, sociological surveys and
interviews were used as one of the important research methods. Questionnaires
were conducted among students who participated in tourism events, obtaining
accurate information about their personal development, level of social
adaptation, and physical and mental changes. Through interviews, it was
possible to describe the students' experiences in detail and determine which
aspects of recreational tourism had the greatest impact on the formation of their
life competencies.

Statistical analysis methods were used to objectively analyze the results.

The data collected during the study were processed using mathematical and
statistical methods, and clear numerical indicators were obtained about the
impact of recreational tourism on students. This made it possible to avoid
subjective approaches and form scientifically based conclusions.

In general, the methodological foundations of this study served to

comprehensively study the effectiveness of recreational tourism in the
formation of students' life competencies. As a result of this approach, it was
scientifically substantiated that when recreational tourism is integrated into the

educational process, it not only serves to physically and mentally train students,
but also to develop important life skills such as independent thinking,
communication, and teamwork.

In today's globalization environment, the education provided to young

people should be closely related to their personal development, physical and
psychological stability, and social adaptation. Classes held in traditional
classroom conditions and the process of absorbing theoretical knowledge are
not enough to fully form students' life competencies. That is why recreational
tourism is becoming an important pedagogical tool in today's education system.

The results of a study of the impact of recreational tourism on student

development showed that outdoor activities help students increase their
physical activity, reduce stress, develop independent problem-solving and
teamwork skills. For example, during the study, it was observed that the level of
interaction and social adaptation increased among students who participated in
recreational tourism programs. This is important in developing skills for
working and communicating in a team environment.

Recreational tourism also had a positive impact on the formation of

environmental awareness and a sustainable lifestyle among students. The
results of the study showed that as a result of expeditions and trips to nature,
students became more sensitive to environmental problems and learned to be
careful about the environment. This plays an important role not only in their
current but also in future life decisions.

From the point of view of psychological stability, recreational tourism has

been proven to be an effective method of strengthening the mental health of
students. Experiences such as active recreation in nature, testing oneself in
extreme conditions, overcoming obstacles serve to increase stress resistance
among students, and to form their positive attitude towards life. At the same
time, recreational tourism also develops students' independent decision-making,
planning, and self-management skills. For example, during the travel process,
each participant learns to fulfill the responsibilities assigned to him, moving
away from an individual approach for the benefit of the team and acting in the
interests of the group. This will also be of great importance in their future
professional activities. Thus, it has been scientifically proven that recreational
tourism is not only a means of recreation and leisure for students, but also an
important pedagogical mechanism that serves to develop their life
competencies. The wider use of recreational tourism elements in the educational

process and its integration into curricula will help students develop not only
theoretical knowledge, but also practical skills.

Conclusion

.

This study proved that recreational tourism is not only a means of

recreation in the modern educational process, but also an important pedagogical
mechanism that serves to form and develop students' life competencies. During
the study, it was found that physical activity, stress tolerance, independent
thinking, teamwork and problem-solving skills were significantly developed
among students participating in recreational tourism programs.

Recreational tourism is important in preparing students for real-life

situations, and serves to form their environmental awareness, increase their
respect for nature, and strengthen their social adaptation skills. In particular, it
was observed that important qualities such as cooperation, leadership, and
flexibility were formed among students as a result of various trips and
expeditions.

The study showed that when recreational tourism is integrated into the

pedagogical process, it allows achieving more effective results compared to
traditional educational methods. Because classes held in the lap of nature have a
positive effect on the deeper consolidation of knowledge in students' minds, the
acquisition of life experience, and their personal development.

Therefore, it is necessary to develop recreational tourism programs in

higher educational institutions, to implement them more widely in the
educational process, and to ensure the active participation of students in this
process. This will play an important role in preparing individuals who will not
only have deep scientific knowledge, but also practical skills, who are socially
adaptable and psychologically resilient in the future.
