Heredity and lifestyle as a risk factor for obesity and hypertension in children and adolescents

The paper presents the survey data of 55 children and adolescents with obesity. It was found that the main risk factors for different types of obesity in children, including hypertension are hypercaloric nutrition, physical inactivity, family history for obesity and hypertension in both parents and diabetes through the ma-ternal line, and smoking in the family. Of great importance in the progression of obesity and hypertension manifestation was during puberty. The identified risk factors should contribute to an active educational and medical work among children, to prevent the development of obesity (especially abdominal) and the for-mation of complications from the disease
