Today, it is no secret that the demand for learning a foreign
language, especially English, is extremely important. In this
process, perfect mastery of speech activities such as reading,
writing, listening comprehension, and speaking shows a
positive result in the language learning process. This article
talks about effective methods of language teaching.

Сегодня ни для кого не секрет, что спрос на изучение
иностранного языка, особенно английского, чрезвычайно
важен. В этом процессе совершенное владение речевой
деятельностью, такой как чтение, письмо, аудирование и
говорение, показывает положительный результат процесса
изучения языка. В статье рассмотрены эффективные
методы обучения языку.

It is known that the terms “method”, “methodology” and “technology” are the most
basic concepts in English language teaching, and there are different approaches to describing
their essence, and these approaches have been the cause of debates among experts.
It is possible to form a clear definition of concepts by analyzing the literature and
summarizing the data. The way of carrying out an action aimed at a specific educational
goal creates a unique educational method that serves to achieve the set goal.
One of the proposed methods for teaching English today is the fundamental
method. It requires at least 2-3 years of research and deep study of grammar. This
method is mainly used in the training of professional translators, and at the end of their
studies, students will be able to look at the world with the eyes of a native speaker.
Language is studied as a real and complete means of communication-based on it.
Currently, the fundamental method has not changed its purpose, but many other
methods have entered the field of competition with the fundamental method. The most
important factor in the process of learning a language is how correct the content of the
transmitted information. During the reform of the education system of our republic, the
development of educational programs in accordance with international standards based
on foreign experiences became the basis for further improvement of the higher
pedagogical education system. In fact, in the conditions of Uzbekistan, taking into account
our national mentality and traditions, the fundamental reform of the quality of education
on the basis of foreign experiences is the demand of the time.
In this regard, the Strategy of Actions on the Five Priority Development Directions
of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017
–
2021, in our nation increasing the quality and
efficiency of the activities of higher education institutions based on the introduction of
international standards for evaluating the quality of education and teaching, scientific
stimulation of research and innovation activities, creation of efficient mechanisms for
implementation of science.
Additionally, to improve the quality of personnel training, to establish the
conditions for the training of qualified specialists in accordance with international
standards, to allow each higher education institution to forge close ties with the most
prestigious scientific and educational institutions in the world, to foster students’
creative abilities, to use effectively interactive techniques when working with young
audiences, and to be able to provide them with qualified.
Improving the quality and effectiveness of education is achieved through the
effective use of modern information and modern innovative technologies, which are
selected in the course of education, that is the subject, selected taking into account the
language learner’s age, knowledge experience, and worldview.
The use of technological tools is useful in mastering the activities of English
language learning, such as reading, writing, listening and speaking.
For example, improving listening comprehension is unimaginable without the
help of computers, smart boards and players. It is well known that the listening process is
one of the most important aspects of language learning. This process requires students to
pay attention simultaneously to the speaker

s pronunciation, adherence to grammatical
rules, vocabulary, and meaning. Using the latest technology to teach and learn a foreign
language is one of the most convenient ways. One of the key factors in this process is the
information and communication technology knowledge of the language teacher and
language learner. While learning English including computer use, students watch, listen

and try to understand videos, demonstrations, dialogues, movies, or cartoons in English.
Using these technical aids gives students the opportunity to learn the language through
authentic materials, and language learners take great interest in learning the language.
This will make the process of learning English more interesting and effective. Thus,
let’s talk briefly about games, which are an integral part of the language
-learning process.
Games are one of the most useful language-learning tools. Its benefits are to ensure the
language learner’s cognitive p
rocesses, develop oral skills and abilities, and lead to
personal socialization.
The game uses various interactive methods. Today, teaching with interactive
games is becoming a tradition in educational institutions. It is known that lessons are
based on various games. It allows students to show their potential, talents and focus and
improve their knowledge and skills in a simple and fun way. Generally accepted
educational principles and tactics are reflected in the foundation of each game.
In class, students are more interested and work freely than in regular classes. One
of her most important requirements for teaching English is teaching students to think for
themselves. Today, many innovative methods are used in the language teaching process
based on the experience of American and British educators. One of them is
“
Creative

”
, where you read mainly the beginning of the story and let the students
decide the ending.
The Merry Riddles method presents a riddle to the listener. Listeners learn
unfamiliar words and find answers to riddles.

The quick answer method helps to
increase the effectiveness of the lesson. The Chain Story method helps students develop
oral language.
The
“
When Pictures Speak
”
method is also very useful and helps students develop
oral language. For this, you should use images that are relevant to your topic. One of the
most common methods used in the language teaching process is taking tests. The reason
for its rapid spread is the convenience of this method, which allows you to check the
language skills and abilities of language learners in a short period of time. In practice, it
has been proven that tests are usually performed before and after the experiment. The
importance of testing in confirming or disproving scientific hypotheses in experiments is
enormous.
Testing is carried out using technical means or simply by applying printed
materials. One of the next ancillary analytical research methods is chronometry. Timing
is the amount of time you spend learning a language or mastering a particular language
unit. It can be done in different ways, depending on the research program. We can say
that each innovative technology has its own characteristics and all these methods involve
teacher-
student cooperation and listeners’ acti
ve involvement in the educational process.
Students develop a strong interest and desire to learn the language, prepare their lessons
carefully, and strive to see the results of their actions. This ensures that goals are
achieved in the educational process.
So, we would like to conclude by adding that this article has been very interesting
and helped us grow as future primary, secondary school teachers and also high education
teachers. English has always fascinated us as a foreign language, and for many years we
have been trying to improve our knowledge. The effort made to carry out this study has
helped us to become much better informed about the methodologies for the teaching of
English in primary and secondary education and this knowledge will help us in our
background as future teacher.
