Introduction.
Piano lessons in music and art higher education institutions are one of the
main areas of formation of students' musical preparation. The piano is an
integral part of education and serves not only to develop students' technical
skills, but also to develop a deep understanding of musical works and the ability
to perform them expressively. Students studying in this field achieve high
achievements in creativity, performing arts and musical thinking. The process of
teaching piano not only develops individual musical skills, but also expands
collective creativity and musical culture among students. Nowadays, it is
important to introduce innovative methods and technologies in piano pedagogy
and adapt the educational process to the individual needs of students. In this
regard, this article analyzes the role of piano teaching in the musical education
system, its importance and the use of effective methods in modern education.
Literature analysis.
Extensive research has been conducted on piano teaching methods and its
importance in music education. The historical roots of piano pedagogy go back
to the 18th-19th centuries and were founded by great composers and
pedagogues. According to his research, the use of interactive educational tools in
piano lessons, the involvement of students in the creative process, and an

Rubinstein's research shows that piano students can expand their musical
expression by developing creative thinking. He emphasizes the need to develop
an individual creative approach in the process of teaching piano, and
emphasizes the unity of performance and pedagogy. Therefore, in modern music
pedagogy, piano education is considered not only as a part of the educational
process, but also as an important factor in the formation of musical thinking and
creative skills.
Discussion
It reveals the role of piano teaching in music education and how important
it is in the pedagogical process. Studies have shown that piano lessons not only
develop musical technical skills, but are also of great importance in the
formation of creative thinking, emotional expression, and musical
understanding. Piano performance expands the scope of musical thinking and
creative exploration for students, encouraging them to acquire deeper musical
knowledge and skills.
At the same time, the role of piano lessons in the development of collective
creative activity in higher educational institutions is also important. Through the
piano, students increase the musical level necessary for successful participation
not only as an individual performer, but also in collective ensembles and
orchestras. This process allows them to learn creative collaboration and musical
dialogue.
The literature analyzed in the article shows that piano teaching methods
and techniques have changed over time. Teaching approaches ranging from
classical methods based on historical traditions to new methods based on
modern technology are used to provide students with comprehensive musical
training. In particular, the introduction of modern technologies and interactive
educational tools creates new opportunities in music education. These methods
increase the interest of students and attract them to deeper and more creative
learning.
However, one of the important aspects that should be discussed is the need
to develop educational methods adapted to the individual needs and abilities of
students. Since each student has a unique learning pace, piano teachers are
required to be creative and flexible. It plays an important role in the
development of individual abilities of students and further increases their
musical creativity.
