SATISFACTION WITH THEIR ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES BASED ON

THE RESEARCH OF UZBEK PSYCHOLOGISTS: THEORETICAL AND

PRACTICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract.

The article discusses the concept of students' satisfaction with

their academic activities and the theoretical and practical analysis of scientific
research conducted by Uzbek scientists in this area. The main issue raised is
what plays an important role in students' satisfaction with their academic
activities and the assimilation of knowledge, the research directions and issues
conducted by scientists are revealed. Also, an analysis of the views of scientists
on the stages of the motivational process is presented.

As is known, the problem of self-activation in educational activities during

student life is of great importance and relevance for the current education
system. We all know that it is necessary to form this personality, especially when
students are required to organize their independent activities during the
educational process. It is worth noting that although the issues of personal self-
activation have not been studied by Uzbek psychologists, psychological
scientists of our republic are also conducting in-depth scientific research on the
problems of self-awareness, self-management, self-control, educational activity,
and educational motivation. Among them are M.G. Davletshin, E.G. Goziyev, R.I.
Sunnatova, Z.T. Nishonova, X.A. Ruhieva, A.A. Fayzullaev, F.I. Khaidarov, M.
Khakimova, N.I. Khalilova and others.

Professor M.G. Davletshin conducted a number of studies on the

psychological characteristics of the student period, in particular, on the
problems of cognitive processes and the development of individual
psychological characteristics, in which it was shown that self-control in a person
is related to the processes of self-awareness, upbringing, and management. Also,
the scientific works of the scientist describe in detail the age-related
developmental characteristics of self-control and its role in personal education.

Professor E.G. Goziev conducted in-depth research on the characteristics of

managing the educational activities of adolescent students, planning educational

activities, including self-control, setting goals, and determining free time. The
scientist developed a diagnostic method of managing educational activities for
research in this area, and sheds light on the theoretical and practical aspects of
the problem of managing educational activities, which is one of the research
areas of psychology.

In the framework of the doctoral dissertation on the topic “Individual-

typological characteristics of thinking activity”, R.I. Sunnatova studied the
individual characteristics of a person, including the logicality of thinking, the
level of formation, the constructive-destructiveness of self-assessment, conflict-
conformity in interpersonal interaction, and the independence or non-
independence of the subject in decision-making.

The research work identified the characteristics of the thinking activity of

primary and senior schoolchildren and students in the process of self-
management. The scientist explained the characteristics of the influence of self-
management processes on thinking activity as follows: on the one hand, a
number of changes are noticeable in the processes of self-management of
students, on the other hand, an increase in interest in educational activities
among students and the formation of new views on acquiring knowledge in the
process of self-management are also visible. It is also observed that students
strive to educate themselves and improve their abilities in the process of self-
management.

In the research of R.I. Sunnatova, it is shown that in general (although the

abstraction of intellectual mental phenomena from personal qualities is
artificial), the process of solving tasks, its personal components are the basis of
individual typological differences in thinking activity.

The research work proves that the emotional value attitude of a person

towards himself, that is, the desire for self-evaluation, characterized by
congruence, self-liking, constructive self-evaluation, which contributes to
independent development, or, conversely, characterized by self-dislike, internal
incongruence, conflict with himself, has a very strong impact on the realization
of his potential, his independent development.

In the candidate's dissertation on the topic "Features of mastering methods

and means of mental activity of senior students", Z.T. Nishonova substantiates
the psychological factors of the formation of mental skills and competencies in
students. In particular, the essence of the content of the educational activity of
senior students, effective psychological methods and means of acquiring
knowledge are highlighted based on empirical data.

In the dissertation work on the topic "Psychological characteristics of self-

management of students in their educational activities", opinions are put
forward on the essence of the issue of self-management and various aspects
related to it. In it, the problem of self-management is studied in direct
connection with the educational process.

According to the results of the research, self-management in educational

activities guarantees the management of the student's personal activity.
Learning as a cognitive process consists of such components as motivational
goals, volitional management and assessment. The doctrine of mastering the
system of methods of educational activity shows the theoretical aspect of the
research work. Methods of educational activity cover the transfer of methods of
self-management of activity, self-control, professional interest, personal
attention, self-management.

The researcher understands the management of educational activity as

goal-oriented, planned, controlled, systematized, organized activity.

The main novelty of the research work is that it develops methods of

managing educational activity through generalized methods of educational
activity. It is substantiated that all components, all levels of its components of
self-management have the properties of mutual interaction, helping the student
to improve professional interest and overcome obstacles in activity, and through
it ensures that the student becomes a subject of educational activity.

In the scientific research of A.A. Fayzullaev, various factors of motivational

self-management of an individual were identified and analyzed. These factors
relate to the characteristics of individual motivation, methods and results of
implementing motivational management. In addition, his works identified the
objectification of motivational structures by an individual and various
psychological strategies and methods of motivational management. The
research also studied a number of other areas of motivational self-management
in an individual's life activities.

A.A. Fayzullaev in his research proposed a step-by-step analysis of the

motivational process. The scientist studies this process in the following five
stages:

The first stage is the emergence and realization of arousal. A full realization

of arousal is determined by understanding what object caused the arousal and
understanding the methods and results of implementing this action. According
to the author, the realization of arousal can be seen as needs, inclinations,
aspirations, in general, any phenomenon of mental life.

The second stage is called the acceptance of the motive. The author explains

this as the internal acceptance of the arousal. At this stage, a person analyzes his
moral principles, values, etc., and decides how important the emerging need or
inclination is for his life, and whether it is necessary to satisfy them.

The third stage is the stage of realization of the motive, during which,

depending on specific situations and the fulfillment of the motive, its
psychological content may change.

The fourth stage is considered to be the consolidation of the motive, as a

result of which the motive becomes a character trait.

The fifth stage is the activation of potential arousal, in which a certain

character trait emerges consciously and unconsciously.

A. Fayzullaev's study of the motivational process in stages is valuable in that

it facilitates psychological analysis and, in a certain sense, increases the ability to
control this process.

F.I. Khaidarov's candidate dissertation on the topic “Formation of study

motives in rural school students” reveals the psychological aspects of the
formation of study motives in students. It is worth noting that the researcher
covered the manifestation of study motives in students from a territorial, gender
and age perspective. Most importantly, the types of motivations for studying of
students, which are regionally different and significant, are revealed from a
scientific point of view.

In the candidate's dissertation of the researcher M. Khakimova on the topic

“Formation of self-assessment in the process of labor education in young
adolescents”, the relationship between the process of self-assessment and self-
management is studied. The issue of the relationship of the formation of self-
assessment with personality traits is also studied.

In the candidate's dissertation by N.I. Khalilova on the topic “Psychological

features of the formation of self-control in adolescence”, the main attention is
paid to a wide range of psychological factors influencing the formation of self-
control in adolescence. In particular, the specific features of the development of
self-control in adolescence, its psychological mechanisms have been studied in
local conditions within the framework of special studies; It is substantiated that
self-control in activity is closely related to volitional qualities, since it is one of
the main components of self-control; the relationship between the level of self-
control and temperamental qualities such as reactivity, rigidity, and anxiety has
been shown; we can see that some important psychological factors for

increasing the effectiveness of training and exercises that serve to strengthen
the level of self-control of a teenager have been identified.

In B.G. Gappirov's candidate dissertation on the topic “Dynamic

development of students' moral self-awareness in the educational process”, the
phenomenon of self-awareness, moral self-awareness, was first analyzed
psychologically. Also, the essence of moral self-awareness, its manifestation in
students' educational activities, and its impact on change have been studied by
world psychologists. It has also been proven that the formation of students'
identity in their educational activities is expressed as a result of the change and
improvement of the image of the "I", the dynamics of the development of self-
awareness, their subjectivity, the relationship between identity and "I".

Sh.V. Azizova's dissertation on the topic "Psychological features of

educational activity management in senior students" is devoted to theoretical
and experimental issues of educational activity management. It examines the
content of the concept of educational activity management, the specific aspects
of indirect and direct management. It also deals with experimental issues of
educational activity management in senior students, presents methods for
verifying educational activity management, important aspects of learning to plan
management, and analyzes the results of this study. In particular, it presents an
analysis of ideas and views on the development of self-control and interest
management in educational activity in senior students, as well as analysis of its
results and management.

O.B. Shamsiev's candidate dissertation on the topic "Socio-psychological

factors of self-awareness of a school-age child in the family" shows that
children's self-awareness in Uzbek families is studied as a socio-psychological
subject, that a person's self-concept within the framework of social
representations is considered as a socio-psychological mechanism of self-
awareness, and that the relationship between parents, which affects the child's
"I" concept, is analyzed. Also, the results of the study can be used in work with
children and their parents at the stage of preparation for school life, as well as in
the diagnosis and correction of family relationships between spouses and
parents and children.

In the dissertation work of A.P. Kholturaev entitled “The Importance of

Individual Psychological Characteristics in the Effectiveness of Adolescents’
Academic Activities”, it was proven that the structural structure of adolescents’
academic achievement depends on the intelligence coefficient due to the
dynamic activation of internal motives as a result of the influence of knowledge

acquisition on “social awareness”, “expressive speech”, “social perceptual
characteristics”. At the same time, it was found that as a result of the influence of
individual psychological characteristics on the effectiveness of adolescents’
academic activities, the tendency to communicate, endurance, steadfastness,
willpower, perseverance, determination, independence are manifested in
academic activities in connection with the orientation to internal motives.

In the dissertation work of N.T. Ubaidullaev on the topic “Socio-

psychological characteristics of self-management in students”, it was revealed
that, according to the manifestation of reflexive components of self-management
in a person, the psychological determination of the “Ideal Man” is of a priority
nature as a result of the mutual integration of the abilities to plan one’s
activities, flexibility of thinking, and self-control. In particular, as a result of the
priority given to the components of behavior management in educational
activities, the development of personal social identity is shown through the
expression of the mechanisms of social influence (norm, morality, institution)
understood in the value system in the person’s attitude towards himself.

In the scientific research work of B.N. Turakulov on the topic “Individual-

typical characteristics of emotional intelligence of students”, the aspects of the
relationship of emotional intelligence with adjacent areas of intelligence were
examined. At the same time, the issues of the relationship of emotional
intelligence with the individual-typological characteristics of the individual
during the student period have been revealed.

Thus, various aspects of self-activation in the educational activity of the

individual have been widely analyzed by scientists of our republic, related to the
problems of self-control, self-awareness, self-management, motivation for
learning, and motivation for learning. However, the formation of self-activation
in educational activity during the student period, its connection with educational
motivation, levels of satisfaction with educational activity, as well as its role in
the educational process have not been studied within the framework of special
research. Therefore, the study of the problem of self-activation in educational
activity during the student period can serve to develop one of the relevant areas
of psychological research at the national level.
