INTRODUCTION
In this day and age, where the world is so easily connected through
technology and social networking, being at least bilingual is becoming increasingly
common, as it opens so many more doors to a wide range of opportunities. Learning
a foreign language is so important, and comes with many benefits that you might
never have expected. In terms of knowing foreign language, English has becoming
more popular and important throughout the world in general and in Uzbekistan
particular. English is the international language in the world and it allow people to
communicate with others who have different country background. Nowadays,
English has been taught from the kindergarten age to the university age in
Uzbekistan.
Education is changing as a result of incorporation of modern digital tools.
One of the key aspects of Uzbekistan’s educational reforms is the implementation
of interactive platforms to enhance learning efficiency and accessibility. Interactive
platforms provide students with engaging and immersive experiences when
learning English. Interactive platforms in education are digital tools or online
environments that enable active participation, communication, and collaboration
between teachers and learners. Before teachers want to use these digital tools

during their interactive lesson, it is the most important to learn effective strategies
implementing interactive platforms in English language teaching. This means that
these strategies help teachers to create their lessons effectively and improve
students’ engagement.
MAIN BODY
Interactive learning is based on active learning, involves computer based
learning and experiential learning, prompt feedback and also suggests reflection. It
connects the joint between content delivery and critical thinking in language
classes. Interactive learning combines tutorials and activities into interactive
classes with numerous iterations of theory, model, exercise, solution and
reflection
1
. Teachers educate and practice small chunks of information in short
cycles. They utilize quick responses in activities to improve the learning experience
in enormous classes so that students can easily reflect and perform their
knowledge
2
.
Interactive learning tools can encourage students to be autonomous.
Students ought to be given greater flexibility in the teaching and learning process
as education is currently heading towards the student-centered approach
3
. Through
the benefits of this approach, students can be progressive which helps to improve
their language acquisition, particularly when the students assess this approach
positively. Besides that, it is normal that the students are more than ready to utilize
them in their language learning due to the fun and interesting aspects
4
.
Interactive learning gives a lot of benefits, especially when it comes to
maintaining student engagement in the classroom. Traditional teaching methods
often fail to engage students, especially when students are not directly involved in
the learning process. Digital interactive platforms can engage students by providing

immediate feedback, engaging visuals, and interactive challenges. For example,
platforms like Wordwall allow teachers to create customized quizzes, games, and
interactive tasks tailored to the learning needs of students. These activities can
increase motivation and make the learning experience more engaging. Interactive
learning not only increases student engagement, but also increases their intrinsic
motivation to learn, as it increases their sense of ownership and autonomy
throughout their learning journey.
As most teaching strategies represent rigid and sometimes boring
techniques, interactive strategies increase learning’s motivation and make the
process of learning more effective and more communicative. The main goal of
interactive strategies is to increase students’ interest in the learning process and to
turn them into active participants in the lessons. Interactive activities provide more
benefits than simply fulfilling educational objectives. Teachers can simply add this
type of exercise into classroom to help students to enhance their communication
and team-work skills. Moreover, interactive strategies can enhance students’
creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
5
.
Interactive strategies also improve students’ interests, knowledge, and
team-work spirit. Senthamarai argues that interactive strategies enhance the
teachers’ role in classroom:
Teachers are encouraged to use their professional judgment to review the
suggested strategies and decide on the most appropriate for meeting the needs of
their students and deliver the essential content in a resilience and wellbeing, drug
education or road safety context
6
. The following strategies can help teachers
successfully integrate digital tools into ELT classrooms:
Start with clear goals:
Before adding any platform, it is important to set
clear learning objectives. Whether the goal is to improve vocabulary, grammar, or
speaking skills, the digital tools chosen should be aligned with the intended
outcomes.

Blend traditional methods with technology:
While digital platforms offer
innovative ways to engage students, they should complement, not replace,
traditional teaching methods. For example, using Wordwall for a vocabulary game,
followed by a group discussion to reinforce the concepts learned, could be an
example.
Encourage collaborative learning:
Many interactive platforms allow
students to work together in teams or pairs. This fosters collaboration and
communication, which are crucial in language learning. Platforms like Kahoot or
Padlet can create an environment where students can brainstorm, discuss topics,
and solve problems together.
Include a variety of activities:
To cater to different learning styles, teachers
should include a variety of interactive activities. These can include quizzes,
puzzles, flashcards, or even group discussions, ensuring that these activities focus
on different aspects of language learning, such as listening, speaking, reading, and
writing.
Provide instant feedback:
One of the biggest advantages of interactive
platforms is the ability to provide real-time feedback. This helps students
immediately identify their mistakes and make corrections, reinforcing their
learning and building their confidence.
While the integration of interactive platforms in ELT brings many
advantages, it also comes with its drawbacks. These are:
Technical issues:
Not all schools are provided digital tools and also some
places have weak internet connection so this is one of the big and first problems in
using interactive platforms.
Platform Familiarity:
Teachers and students need time to familiarize with
the platforms. Because most of them are not free and teachers have to try to learn
about them before using lessons.
CONCLUSION
Effective implementation of interactive platforms in English language
teaching requires careful planning, clear learning objectives, and a balanced use

of technology. Platforms such as Wordwall, Quizlet, and Kahoot have proven to
be valuable tools for increasing student engagement, encouraging active learning,
and supporting a variety of language skills. When used strategically, these tools
can transform the classroom into a dynamic and student-centered environment.
However, the success of these platforms depends not only on the
technology itself, but also on how teachers integrate them into their pedagogy.
Blending digital tools with traditional methods, encouraging collaboration, and
providing timely feedback are essential components of effective implementation.
By employing these strategies, teachers can create more stimulating and inclusive
learning experiences that support language development and digital literacy in
today’s modern ELT classroom.
