Resume
Laboratory rats were exposed to salt water, which is known to be toxic to the kidneys. After
confirming the development of kidney failure in rats, a study was conducted on the effectiveness of
pomegranate seed oil, which was provided to them as a dietary supplement over a certain period of
time. Rats exposed to salt water showed signs of kidney failure, such as increased creatinine and urea
levels in the blood, as well as changes in the morphology of kidney tissue. When adding pomegranate
seed oil to the diet of rats, an improvement in kidney function was observed, which was confirmed by
a decrease in the biochemical parameters of creatinine and urea in the blood, as well as an
improvement in the histological characteristics of the kidney tissue. Pomegranate seed oil shows
potential in correcting salt water-induced renal failure in rats under experimental conditions. These
results may indicate the possibility of using pomegranate seed oil as a potential therapeutic agent for
the treatment or prevention of kidney diseases in humans.
