"THE ROLE OF INTERFIXES IN LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT AND
EDUCATION PROCESSES"

Annotation:
This research is aimed at studying the role of interfixes in language
development and their significance in educational processes. This research analyzes
how interfixes assist students in the language learning process, simplify pronunciation,
and improve word formation. This study helps deepen the understanding of the impact
of interfixes on language learning in educational settings and serves as a basis for
introducing new methods in language teaching.

Annotatsiya:
Mazkur tezis interfikslarning til rivojlanishidagi o‘rni va ta’lim
jarayonlaridagi ahamiyatini o‘rganishga qaratilgan. Ushbu tezis orqali interfikslarning
o'quvchilarga til o'rganish jarayonida qanday yordam berishini, talaffuzni
soddalashtirishi va so'z shakllanishini yaxshilashini tahlil qiladi. Ushbu tezisdagi
izlanishlar interfikslarning ta'lim muassasalarida til o'rganishga ta'sirini chuqurroq
tushunishga yordam beradi va til o'qitishda yangi usullarni joriy qilish uchun asos
bo'lib xizmat qiladi.

Данное исследование направлено на изучение роли
интерфиксов в процессе развития языка и их использования в образовательном
процессе. В исследовании анализируется, как интерфиксы помогают учащимся в
процессе изучения языка, упрощают произношение и улучшают структуру слов.
Эта работа помогает глубже понять влияние интерфиксов на изучение языка в
образовательных процессах и служит основой для внедрения новых методов
преподавания языка.

Introduction
In the language learning process, interfixes play a crucial role in simplifying and
reinforcing the morphological structure of the language. An interfix is a morphological
element that is positioned between two root morphemes and serves to connect them,
based on changing phonetic or grammatical requirements. By studying the differences

between interfixes in Uzbek and English, this research demonstrates how the phonetic,
grammatical, and semantic properties of interfixes are applied in educational
processes

. In Uzbek, interfixes are primarily based on agglutinative morphology and
serve to simplify the grammatical structure and pronunciation of words. In English,
interfixes mainly facilitate phonetic ease, especially in the creation of technical and
scientific terms. Interfixes are primarily considered as morphological elements that are
placed between two root morphemes, connecting them based on changing phonetic,
grammatical, or semantic needs. In educational processes, the significance of interfixes
is not only demonstrated in assisting students in learning new words but also in
acquiring correct pronunciation. The agglutinative features of the Uzbek language and
the fusional structures of English [9;3] vary in how they function with interfixes,
although some commonalities exist. Through both languages, students are able to
understand and effectively use complex word structures with the help of interfixes,
enhancing their language learning process.
The Role of Interfixes in Simplifying Pronunciation
One of the primary functions of interfixes is to simplify the pronunciation of words. In
both Uzbek and English, interfixes help ensure phonetic harmony between two root
morphemes. In Uzbek, for example, words like “kitobxon” (kitob + xon) or
“o‘qituvchi” (o‘qit + uchi) become easier to pronounce with the aid of interfixes. These
interfixes help preserve the grammatical and phonetic correctness of the word, while
also protecting students from making pronunciation errors. By using interfixes,
students receive clear guidelines for correct pronunciation, which, in turn, accelerates
their language acquisition process.
In English, interfixes also play an important role, especially in the creation of scientific
and technical terms. For example, words like “speedometer” (speed + o + meter) or
“electrocardiogram” (electro + o + gram) become more phonetically manageable,
simplifying pronunciation. Students can more easily recall these newly coined terms,
as the interfixes help in structuring the word in a grammatically sound way, making
pronunciation feel more natural [1;10].
The Role of Interfixes in Improving Word Formation
Interfixes not only simplify pronunciation but also contribute to the improvement of
word structure. In Uzbek, interfixes help in enhancing the morphological structure of
words. For instance, the word "o‘qituvchi" (teacher) in Uzbek includes the interfix "-
chi," which denotes a profession or specialization. This interfix helps students
understand the grammatical structure of the word more clearly and facilitates the

morphological structures, separating and defining word forms and meanings
effectively [3;12].
Similarly, in English, interfixes influence word formation, especially in scientific
and technical terminology. Words like "speedometer" or "thermometer" include
multiple root words, but interfixes align them phonologically and grammatically,
creating a more structured and pronounceable term. This provides students with the
opportunity to apply correct structures and organization when creating new words.
Interfixes thus support students in forming grammatically sound terms and enhance
their understanding of word structure [4;22].
The Role of Interfixes in Pedagogical Processes
In pedagogical processes

, interfixes not only support pronunciation and word
structure but also contribute to the development of students' ability to use words
correctly and precisely. Interfixes make the language learning process more intuitive
and logical, as students gain insight into which parts of words change and how they are
applied. For example, when learning to create new words, understanding the
morphological elements helps students absorb languages more efficiently, guiding
them through the phonetic and grammatical aspects of the language.
Furthermore, interfixes aid in teaching students the nuanced structure of words, making
language learning more systematic and structured. They help students see patterns in
how words are formed and how meaning is constructed, which allows for greater clarity
in both spoken and written language [8;3]. This application of interfixes provides a
foundation for more effective communication and enhances students’ mastery over the
language.
Conclusion
Interfixes play a significant role in assisting students throughout the language learning
process. Their contribution to improving word formation, simplifying pronunciation,
and maintaining grammatical accuracy further enhances their importance in
pedagogical processes. In both Uzbek and English, interfixes are essential elements in
helping students effectively and correctly learn new words. This study provides a
comprehensive analysis of how interfixes function in pedagogical contexts and their
impact on language acquisition. By exploring the roles of interfixes, this research
emphasizes their crucial role in facilitating the learning of new words, improving
