TEMPORAL EXPLORATIONS: UNVEILING TIME IN POSTMODERN WRITING

Abstract

This study delves into the intricate relationship between time and narrative in postmodern literature, exploring how temporal concepts are represented, manipulated, and deconstructed in literary works of the postmodern era. Through an analysis of key texts and theoretical frameworks, this research unveils the diverse ways in which postmodern writers engage with time as a thematic concern and narrative device. From fragmented chronologies to nonlinear narratives, postmodern authors employ various techniques to disrupt conventional notions of time, challenging readers to reconsider their perceptions of temporal experience and historical continuity. By examining the temporal complexities inherent in postmodern writing, this study seeks to deepen our understanding of how literature reflects and reframes temporal concepts in the contemporary cultural landscape.
