The primary social determinants of a prosperous life in society

are examined in this article. Specifically, the social protection system, citizen
security, access to healthcare and education, social justice, and cultural
participation are emphasized as important components. Each criterion is
analyzed in light of its intimate relationship to government policy, infrastructure
condition, legal protections for citizens, and social stability. The purpose of the
article is to clarify the metrics that are used to evaluate the social opportunities
and standard of living of citizens.

Key words:

prosperous life, society, social criterion, culture, social justice,

gender equality, security.

One category of indicators that reflect the level of a prosperous life in

society has a social character. Social indicators help determine the social
opportunities created for members of society to lead a prosperous life and
improve their social status. In scientific sources, social indicators are classified
and presented in various ways [1]. Based on these sources, the following can be
recognized as the main ones:

1.

The assurance of social justice.

The level of a prosperous life in society

is primarily and closely connected with the extent to which social justice is
ensured. “Social justice, emphasized President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, “means
ensuring the equality of all citizens before the law, regardless of their political
views, gender, nationality, language, or religious beliefs. It is the equality of
opportunities in education, healthcare, and other areas. It is the guaranteed
freedom of labor activity and equal opportunities for career advancement. Most
importantly, it is the care for the elderly and citizens in need of social
protection” [2]. If all citizens in a society have equal opportunities, social
resources are distributed fairly, and fundamental rights such as access to
employment, education, and healthcare services are guaranteed, only in such an
environment can a truly prosperous life be established. The presence of social
justice leads society toward prosperity and stability by reducing disparities
between different social groups, ensuring gender equality, preventing social
conflicts, eliminating poverty, and strengthening the system of social protection;

2.

Ensuring citizens’ security.

Citizens’ security is one of the key factors

for the stable development and prosperous life of any society.

ensuring security is not limited to low crime rates or resistance to external
threats. It encompasses several important areas such as human rights, economic
opportunities, information security, political stability, and environmental
protection. Ensuring citizens’ security in society is primarily manifested through
legal guarantees and the prioritization of state policy. In addition, internal affairs
bodies, the National Guard, and security services play an important role in
ensuring public safety [3]. A safe social environment creates the necessary
conditions for a prosperous life. On the other hand, such a situation ensures the
psychological peace of citizens. In such an environment, people begin to focus on
leading a calm and peaceful life, building families, realizing their full potential,
and engaging in productive work;

3.

Access to education.

The opportunities created for citizens to receive

education in a society are determined by a number of factors. First and foremost,
the Constitution of the country and education-related laws must guarantee
every citizen’s right to receive an education. State-provided grants, education
loans, and scholarships also create opportunities for broad segments of the
population to access education. Access to education is closely linked, in
particular, to the state of educational infrastructure and its technological base. In
addition, society’s attitude toward education and science also holds great
significance. The presence of such opportunities serves as a basis for
determining the level of prosperity in people’s lives. This is because these
opportunities enable citizens to acquire competitive professions, obtain high-
paying jobs, improve their social status, and fully exercise their rights and
freedoms;

4.

Access to healthcare services.

A healthy society is one of the key factors

in achieving a prosperous life.

The opportunities created for citizens to protect

and maintain their health are among the key indicators of the effectiveness of
the state’s social policy. These opportunities are reflected in several areas. First
and foremost, access to healthcare is reflected in legal guarantees. Such
guarantees serve as a legal foundation for developing the healthcare system
infrastructure and ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens. The second key
indicator of access to healthcare services is related to the availability and
location of medical institutions, the level of their equipment with modern
technologies, and the skills and qualifications of medical personnel. The effective
and convenient operation of hospitals, polyclinics, emergency services, and
pharmacies for the population determines the practical effectiveness of the
healthcare system. In addition, medical prevention, mass vaccination campaigns,

and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle are also considered important aspects of
access to healthcare [4]. Based on such criteria, it is possible to assess the level
of prosperity in the lives of the country’s citizens;

Opportunities to Participate in Cultural Life.

These opportunities are of

great importance for the spiritual development of members of society.

Opportunities to participate in cultural life, as with the points above, are
primarily reflected in legal guarantees. In addition, these opportunities depend
on the availability and diversity of cultural institutions and their accessibility to
citizens. Through infrastructures such as theaters, museums, libraries, cultural
centers, and art schools, all segments of society are provided with opportunities
to actively participate in cultural life [5]. In recent years, these opportunities
have been further enriched through elements of digital culture. The material
aspects of participating in cultural life also hold significant importance. State-
subsidized events and free or low-cost cultural services help promote social
equality. There is a strong connection between citizens’ participation in cultural
life and their overall well-being.

First,

cultural engagement, as mentioned above,

contributes to a person’s spiritual development and increases their life
satisfaction.

Second,

broad access to participation in cultural life also

contributes to the strengthening of social cohesion. Such an environment can be
regarded as a source of a prosperous life.
