Various methods and techniques are used in developing and

correcting children's speech. One of these is the importance of folklore, or oral
folk art. Folklore serves as a crucial tool in correcting children's speech. We will
examine how fairy tales, songs, proverbs, riddles, and folk poetry, which are
components of folklore, influence speech development.

Folklore is beneficial for children's speech development in several ways.

Firstly, folklore texts enrich children's speech and expand their vocabulary. Folk
tales, songs, and proverbs allow children to use a variety of words and phrases.
This increases their level of language proficiency and teaches them to pronounce
words correctly.

Folklore texts create emotionally diverse imagery for children. Fairy tales

and songs have a direct impact on children's psyche. Children begin to express
their feelings better by relating to characters and events. Through such texts,
children learn to understand and express their emotions, which positively
affects speech development.

Many folklore works are based on music and rhythm, which helps children

pronounce speech correctly. By singing songs, children improve their
pronunciation and enrich their vocabulary. Music and rhythm encourage
children to speak more clearly and fluently, leading to better language
development.

Riddles and proverbs are important tools in developing children's speech.

They help children learn new words, express thoughts correctly, and develop
logical thinking. For example, riddles teach children to answer accurately and
quickly, formulating thoughts rapidly. At the same time, since proverbs contain
life experience and wisdom, children remember them and use them to
strengthen interactions in their speech.

Folk tales, while expanding children's imagination, also develop their

language skills. The characters, events, and plots in fairy tales teach children
various concepts, expressions, and words. Through fairy tales, children become
acquainted with different personalities and situations, learning to express
themselves more accurately and richly. Fairy tales encourage children to explore
new thoughts and ideas, thus improving their speech.

In general, folklore serves as an important tool for correcting children's

speech. It not only contributes to language development but also positively
impacts children's psychology, develops logical thinking, increases vocabulary,
and helps form correct pronunciation. Folklore texts, particularly fairy tales,
songs, proverbs, and riddles, serve as effective tools in shaping children's
speech, as they are important sources that aid language development.

The topic of folklore's role in correcting children's speech is vast and

intriguing. Folklore, primarily as a part of oral folk art, is an effective means for
developing children's speech. Folklore texts play a crucial role in enriching and
correcting children's speech, as they provide a natural and effective method of
language development.

Folklore helps children learn new words and phrases. For instance,

interesting words, expressions, and phrases are used in folk tales, songs, or
proverbs. This contributes to the expansion of children's speech and increases
their vocabulary. Often, children learn new words through fairy tales they have
heard or read and begin to use these words in everyday speech.

Folklore works have a logical structure that teaches children clear and

orderly thinking. For example, fairy tales often contain cause-and-effect
relationships, and children learn proper ways of thinking through those events
and characters. Riddles and proverbs help children develop logical reasoning.

In correcting children's speech, folklore also greatly influences their

emotional development. Fairy tales and songs lighten children's spirits, make
them happy, and sometimes help overcome fears or anxieties. Additionally,
through folk epics or fairy tales, children learn social values, distinguish between
good and evil, and understand the value of work. This, in turn, helps make their
speech more accurate and clear.

From a pedagogical perspective, folklore texts are crucial tools in

developing a child's speech. Folk songs, proverbs, and folk tales help children
broaden their worldview and shape their understanding of the world. For
example, many folk tales teach children how to perceive the world and relate to
it. This process, along with language development, creates positive changes in
children's consciousness.

Today, using folklore in conjunction with digital technologies is very

effective when working with children. Presenting fairy tales and songs as
audiovisual materials provides children with an engaging and effective way to
learn them. With the help of mobile applications, interactive games, and digital

platforms, children can learn folklore, which contributes to the development of
their speech.

Overall, folklore is a vital tool for correcting children's speech. It not only

develops language but also greatly influences children's emotional, logical, and
social development. Furthermore, folklore texts are interesting and effective
reading materials for children, expanding their vocabulary, improving
pronunciation, and developing logical thinking. Digital technologies also play an
important role in this process, as they provide children with more engaging and
interactive forms of folklore.
