Annotation
All countries have their own educational system and their system is effective for
themselves. It can be distance education or traditional education however their
teaching way cannot be appropriate for other countries' nationality.
Key words
: positive and negative sides, Distance education, flexibility, traditional
education, self-development.
In a developing world, changes are effecting to education system as well, because of
this, lessons are separated to traditional or distance education and both have positive
and negative sides.
Distance education
Firstly, online studying gives more opportunities for students like flexibility. This
advantage avoids students from wasting their time. This means that for going to school
or university also takes much time. Instead of set aside time for such actions, students
may study other subjects as well. It improves students' selfdevelopment. The next
flexibility is, it does not demand particular place for learning. Students can attend the
lessons where they want to be. That place may be among the nature or library. It helps
students for keeping concentration in only studying. Some students live far from their
home and they need to find accommodation. By the way, they may have many
difficulties related to its price. However in distance education, they do not meet such
problems.
Online learning can also prove essential to many adults. Some people never finish
high school and want to get an actual diploma without having to step back into the
63
classroom because they work full-time. Online learning offers a variety of options.
No matter what students study, they can find the courses or programs they need online
(from a career certificate to a doctorate).
However, distance education demands high quality of internet and technics. If their
quality become low, it creates misunderstandings of students.
Traditional education
On the other hand, traditional education refers to the type of instruction that takes
place in a classroom where both instructor and students are physically present. This
traditional classroom-based setting requires students to attend classes in person and
on campus of traditional educational institutions. It mostly appeals to learners who
prefer face-to-face interaction or want to live the real college experience. Counselors
and professors are available for additional assistance and guidance on campus. In a
traditional classroom, hands-on training during class can take place (e.g., in a
laboratory) and students interact with fellow students directly while getting involved
in many hands-on projects. Depending on the class schedule, students attend two or
three classes per week, either during the day or in the evenings.
In a traditional education giving guidelines is easy for teachers according to their
strength and weakness, because teachers must teach all students, however all students
are not equal and their strength of learning subjects is not the same, so developed
countries use offline lessons for rising students’ knowledge. I also believe that
traditional education is more effective.
