PSYCHOLOGICAL VALUE OF THE NOVELS BY AGATHA CHRISTIE

Abstract:
Books play an important role in the development of society and are
also considered important for personal improvement. Every book reader draws some
conclusions from the work he likes. In particular, the works of the English writer
Agatha Christie, who made an incomparable contribution to the detective works that
are loved by readers, should be highlighted. In the process of analyzing her works, it is
necessary to take into account several aspects.

Agatha Christie's detective novels hold significant psychological value that
transcends the realm of mere entertainment. Through her intricate plots, well-

developed characters, and exploration of human nature, Christie's novels offer insights
into various psychological aspects. Here are some key psychological values present in
her works:
Cognitive Engagement and Critical Thinking:
Cognitive engagement and
critical thinking play a central role in Agatha Christie's detective novels. Her intricate
plots and complex mysteries invite readers to actively participate in solving the puzzles
alongside her detectives. Christie's mysteries are like intricate puzzles waiting to be
solved. Readers must carefully examine the clues, red herrings, and details provided in
the narrative. Critical thinking is essential for interpreting these clues and discerning
their relevance to the overall mystery. Moreover, her novels often involve deductive
reasoning, where readers follow a logical thought process to reach conclusions. By
