Abstract

This article on the topic "Improving the pedagogical culture of teachers based on the competence approach" is aimed at studying the methods of developing modern competencies and improving the pedagogical culture in the professional activity of teachers. The article analyzes the essence of the competence approach, its importance in the educational process, and aspects related to the teacher's pedagogical culture. The connection between competencies and pedagogical culture is revealed, and the role of teachers' knowledge, skills and moral values in improving the quality of the pedagogical process is explained. Also, the article recommends effective methods and strategies for improving the pedagogical culture of teachers, including approaches such as continuous professional development, use of innovative technologies, self-analysis and exchange of professional experience. The results of the research serve to increase the professional growth of teachers and the overall effectiveness of the educational process. This article is useful for pedagogues, scientific researchers and specialists in the field of education, and helps to improve the quality of the educational process.

approach. The essence of the competence approach.
This approach includes not only providing students
with theoretical knowledge, but also developing their
practical skills. The main goal of the competence
approach is to develop a person's ability to apply
knowledge in practice. By organizing his activities
based on this approach, the teacher not only teaches
students his subject, but also forms life and
professional competencies in them.

Before covering the article, let's talk about the word
competence. Competence (derived from the Latin
word "competo", which means "I achieve, I am
suitable, I am suitable") is a set of specific knowledge,
skills, and abilities acquired by a person. means. The
concept of competence has been widely used since the
late 1960s and early 1970s. Competence is a
requirement for the educational training of a specialist
necessary for effective activity in a certain field. It is a
pre-determined social requirement at the disposal of
the state, which is applied to the educational
(professional) training of a student (worker) necessary
for effective activity in a specific field.

Competence-oriented education is an opportunity for
students to apply acquired knowledge, skills, and
abilities in their personal, professional, and social
activities. Education based on a competency-based

approach enables students to have independence,
active citizenship, initiative, the ability to use media
resources and information and communication
technologies wisely in their activities, to consciously
choose a profession, healthy competition, and general
culture. forms skills.

In addition, in the process of mastering each academic
subject in education, specific competences related to
the field are also formed in students based on the
uniqueness and content of this subject. is the basic
condition of society and education. This requirement is
directly related to the activities of teachers and
pedagogues. Today, the main direction of updating
world education is to see the world, life, and
professional activity in a systematic way through an
active approach in the educational process, to perform
systematic activities in it, is to form the experience of
solving new problems and tasks.

Pedagogical culture of a teacher. Pedagogical culture
of a teacher is the unity of his professional and
personal qualities, which is characterized by the
combination of ethical, aesthetic and professional
competencies in pedagogical activity. Pedagogical
culture is one of the important factors That ensure the
teacher achieves high results in the educational

process. The teacher’s level of knowledge, didactic

approaches,

communication

with

students,

understanding of their needs and creative approach to
their work are important components of pedagogical
culture.

individual needs of students. Pedagogical culture, in
turn, determines the cultural and moral foundations of
the teacher in the implementation of these
competencies. Competency approach forms the

teacher’s ability to apply knowledge and at the same

time enriches his pedagogical culture.

Methods of improving the pedagogical culture of
teachers. The following methods are effective in
improving the pedagogical culture of teachers:

- continuous professional development: teachers need
to regularly update their knowledge and skills, get
acquainted with new pedagogical technologies and
methodical approaches, and apply them in practice.

-self-analysis: The teacher must constantly analyze his
work, determine in which areas he needs to develop
and strive for further improvement.

- exchange of professional experience: Teachers can
enrich their pedagogical culture by learning from each
other. This process is carried out through active
participation in seminars, trainings and pedagogical
councils.

- use of innovative technologies: by introducing
modern innovative technologies into the educational
process, teachers can organize their activities more
effectively. This, in turn, contributes to the
improvement of their professional and pedagogical
culture.

The subject of ”Improving the pedagogical culture of

teacher

been extensively researched by experts and scientists
in the field of education. Below we will give an example
of the important opinions of scientists and professors
on this topic. The leading scientist of the Russian
education system, I. A. Zimnyaya, emphasizes the
importance of improving the pedagogical process

based on the competency approach. In his opinion,

“Competencies are a combination of knowledge, skills

and abilities necessary for the effective organization of

a teacher’s professional activity. A teacher is not

limited to having theoretical knowledge, but also has
the ability to apply this knowledge in practice must

be.” Zimnyaya emphasizes the need for regular

development of professional competencies to improve
pedagogical culture. A. A. Derkach, one of the leaders
of the science of acmeology, emphasizes the
importance of the acmeological approach in the
professional growth of teachers and says that they
should be developed through methods aimed at
improving

their skills. According to Derkach, “The

competence approach is the most important factor in
the process of professional growth of a pedagogue,
through this approach a teacher can reach his highest

point of development.” J. Raven, one of the scientists

who studied the competence approach in the West,
speaking about his role in the recruitment process,

“Competencies are the key to personal and

professional success.

It is not enough for a teacher to be knowledgeable, but
it is also important to have the ability to manage the
pedagogical process, communicate effectively with

students, and develop a creative approach.” In his

opinion, the teacher's pedagogical culture is a
combination of qualities formed on the basis of human
relations, moral values and moral standards
emphasizes that it is wrong to limit it only to
knowledge and it is necessary to improve the
pedagogical culture. In addition, our honorable
president Shavkat Mirziyoyev sees teachers as the

central figure of the education system “Development

of modern competencies is one of the most important

factors in improving the quality of education.” Also,

Mirziyoyev pays great attention to strengthening the
spiritual and moral aspects of the society through the

V. P. Bespalko emphasizes that the competence
approach occupies a central place in the educational

process. In his opinion, ”Competency approach in

education is the most effective way for professional
development of teachers. This approach allows
integ

ration of teacher’s knowledge, skills and practical

experience and creates the necessary basis for

improving pedagogical culture.” Russian pedagogue K.
Ushinsky, talking about teacher’s professional
competencies, said, “Any teacher should not only have

good knowledge, but also have the ability to

effectively convey it to students.” Ushinsky said that by

improving the pedagogical culture, the teacher
achieves high results in the educational process.

The opinions of scientists and professors mentioned
above emphasize the importance of the competence
approach in improving the pedagogical culture of
teachers. In the modern education system, teachers
should

constantly

update

their

professional

knowledge and skills, improve pedagogical culture and
achieve high efficiency by working on themselves.

CONCLUSION

Improving the pedagogical culture of teachers based
on the competence approach has a positive effect not
only on the professional growth of teachers, but also
on the overall effectiveness of the educational process.
A teacher regularly updating his knowledge and skills
and enriching his pedagogical culture is an important
factor in achieving high results in the educational
process. Through the competence approach, the

teacher strengthens his position not only as a teacher,
but also as a leader who shapes the life and
professional directions of students.

interests of the students;

- to constantly work on oneself, act in accordance with
new decisions and laws and apply practical actions for
their implementation;
