The consequence of the influence of bad habits of parents on children

Abstract

Habit - a spontaneous action, beyond control, a ritual to prevent depression and fear.
American researchers Easter Wilder and Tony Turling Watt believe that half of teenagers whose parents smoke begin sexual activity at the age of 15, which is due to the emancipation of parents in the presence of children, so the rate of teenage pregnancy and abortion is high in America. A sociological study of 19 thousand children from 13 to 18 years found that 31% of parents are smokers. Drinking parents have children who smoke and drink.

Relevance:

Habit - a spontaneous action, beyond control, a ritual to prevent depression and fear.

American researchers Easter Wilder and Tony Turling Watt believe that half of teenagers whose parents
smoke begin sexual activity at the age of 15, which is due to the emancipation of parents in the presence
of children, so the rate of teenage pregnancy and abortion is high in America. A sociological study of 19
thousand children from 13 to 18 years found that 31% of parents are smokers. Drinking parents have
children who smoke and drink.

Objective:

To establish risk factors for the formation of pathocharacterological traits in children.

Materials and methods:

11 girls and 16 boys aged from 3 to 15 years were examined. The group

included children with behavioral characteristics: self-motion, finger sucking, shuffling when walking,
excessive stooping, picking their nose, spitting, using parasitic words and profanity, pulling out their hair,
biting their nails or writing pens, and shaking their feet.

According to the results of the survey, 10 (37%) children had parents who had bad habits: smoking,
alcoholism, obscene language.

Results and discussion:

Almost all children had a lack of communication with their peers, a lack

of attention from their parents. Children who had the habit of sucking a finger or object were weaned
early and weaned from the nipple. Sucking fingers or objects was more common in children under 3
years of age. Self-motion at bedtime was observed in children of different age groups. In preschool and
primary school age, children bite their nails, writing pens or pencils. Obscene expressions had 2
characteristic periods: up to 3 years and in adolescence.

Conclusions:

The fight against a bad habit is always a fight against anxiety, uncertainty, and

pessimism. The situation is aggravated by the negative attitude of others, when they try to stop children
with the word: "Stop!", " You can not!"," I will punish! " Elimination of a bad habit requires more time
than the time it took to form it. Relatives should behave so as not to provoke the child to follow an
undesirable example (smoking, alcoholism).
