This work discusses the concept of Artificial Intelligence (AI), its development
history, applications, and the positive and negative aspects associated with its use. AI refers to
intellectual systems capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence, such
as reasoning, problem-solving, and creativity. The paper highlights the rapid growth of AI in
various industries, such as healthcare, media, and manufacturing, and how it has revolutionized
these fields by enhancing speed, accuracy, and automation.
On the other hand, the negative consequences of AI are also examined, including job
displacement, privacy risks, the spread of misinformation, and the potential for AI to operate
beyond human control. The paper emphasizes the importance of understanding both the
benefits and risks of AI, advocating for its responsible and ethical use to ensure that it serves
humanity's best interests.

Before diving into the topic of artificial intelligence, let's take a look at its history.
Artificial intelligence refers to systems that perform tasks related to logic and creativity, similar
to human cognitive functions. This term can also be applied to technologies that demonstrate
characteristics related to human intellect, such as learning and problem-solving. The ideal
feature of artificial intelligence is its ability to evaluate and execute actions that offer the best
opportunity to achieve a specific goal.
Currently, artificial intelligence consists of algorithms and software systems designed to
perform various tasks, and it can accomplish many functions that are typically carried out by
human cognition. While scientists are eager to experiment with artificial intelligence, many
people approach this phenomenon with caution. Even Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, has referred to
it as a "fundamental threat" to humanity, which could lead to war and unemployment.

The development of artificial intelligence as a scientific discipline was made possible only after
the creation of electronic computers. This occurred in the mid-20th century. During this time, N.
Wiener (1894-1964) developed his major works in the field of cybernetics. The term "artificial
intelligence" was proposed in 1956 at a seminar of the same name at Stanford University (USA).
This seminar was not about computing but about developing logical tasks.
After artificial intelligence was recognized as an independent scientific field, it quickly split
into two main branches: neurocybernetics and "black box" cybernetics. Nowadays, there's a
trend towards integrating these branches back into a unified field.
The major progress in the practical application of artificial intelligence occurred in the mid-
1970s when specialists shifted from seeking a universal algorithm for human cognition to
focusing on modeling the expert knowledge of specialists and creating systems that prioritize
knowledge as a critical component. By the 1990s, a new concept emerged, emphasizing that, to
make a program intelligent, it must be provided with high-quality, domain-specific knowledge.
This approach has become fully realized in the design of expert systems. The World Intellectual
Property Organization (WIPO) is an international forum for discussing intellectual property,
artificial intelligence, policy, information, and cooperation services for member states. In the
2019 WIPO Technology Trends Conference—Artificial Intelligence, inventions related to
artificial intelligence transitioning from theory to practical applications were showcased.
According to WIPO's Director-General Francis Gurry, “Artificial intelligence is the new digital
frontier that will have a profound impact on our lives and work,” and he emphasized that WIPO
would continue to guide the development of a balanced and efficient international intellectual
property system while supporting innovation for the benefit of everyone.
Positive and Negative Aspects of Artificial Intelligence
As with anything, artificial intelligence has both positive and negative aspects. However, this
does not mean that we should avoid using it. For example, the following questions may arise:
Does artificial intelligence take jobs from humans? Artificial intelligence itself does not take
away jobs from people. However, people who can effectively use artificial intelligence might
replace others. The fear should not be of artificial intelligence itself, but rather of how we use
and learn from it.
Artificial intelligence has already entered the media sector at full speed, especially in image
processing, editing, and other areas. In some countries, AI-generated avatars of news anchors
are now leading television programs.
There are negative aspects in everything. For instance, a simple knife can be used as both a
kitchen tool and a weapon. The same applies to artificial intelligence: it can be beneficial or
harmful depending on its intended use and who controls it.
For example, at the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, many fake images circulated, which
were also accompanied by fake news. On the one hand, this was beneficial, as it highlighted the
need for fact-checking.
Artificial intelligence is not just about generating memes or singing songs. It is a highly
valuable assistant. For example, in foreign countries, robots powered by AI are conducting
surgeries and diagnosing diseases. A famous case involved a woman whose daughter was sick,
and doctors could not diagnose her. She entered her daughter's symptoms into ChatGPT, which
accurately diagnosed the condition.

In general, artificial intelligence is gradually entering all sectors. However, I would not trust
autonomous vehicles powered by AI just yet, as they have not yet reached an ideal level.
In the Media Sector :Since I am interested in the media field, I will emphasize this area. For
example, creating 3D animations, which used to take several months, can now be accelerated
significantly with artificial intelligence. Characters can be created simply by describing them in
words. In animation, AI is advancing rapidly. I believe 2024 will be the year of AI in animation
and character rendering.
What is ChatGPT Doing in Uzbek?
ChatGPT primarily works with text, but recently, it has also added image generation
capabilities. ChatGPT can analyze large amounts of data quickly and present it in text form.
Additionally, if you upload an article, it can perform fact-checking. There is currently no
dedicated work on Uzbek language support in ChatGPT. Therefore, it has some limitations.
ChatGPT works best with Russian and English. When ChatGPT was first released, it was not
available in Uzbekistan, but now it is. Although there are some errors, it understands Uzbek.
The more people interact with ChatGPT in Uzbek, the more it will improve.
ChatGPT also allows users to create their own custom chats. However, AI does not have
emotions at this point. It only works based on specific algorithms and learns from text. If asked
about emotions, it will respond by saying it has none. Any videos circulating on the internet
claiming AI has emotions are likely made as jokes.
Positive Aspects of Artificial Intelligence (from ChatGPT itself):
1. It works quickly and accurately, analyzing large amounts of data in a short time.
2. It automates tasks, making work easier in factories, service industries, and search
engines.
3. It reduces errors by decreasing the likelihood of human mistakes.
4. It operates 24/7 without fatigue.
5. It provides personalized services, such as tailored ads, music, and videos (e.g., YouTube,
Spotify).
6. It helps in medicine by diagnosing diseases, analyzing data, and creating medicines.
Negative Aspects of Artificial Intelligence:
1. Job loss: As many tasks are handled by robots, people might lose their jobs.
2. Privacy breaches: AI can track personal information.
3. Fake news: AI sometimes spreads false or misleading information.
4. Loss of human control: If AI starts to operate autonomously, it might be difficult to stop
(a theoretical risk).
5. Ethical concerns: AI decisions may be biased or unjust.
Conclusion:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is now being applied in various fields, including healthcare,
media, and manufacturing. The positive aspects of AI include speed, accurate and efficient
data analysis, automation, and the reduction of errors. Additionally, it operates 24/7 and

offers personalized services. However, it also has negative aspects, such as job
displacement, privacy breaches, the spread of fake news, and the risk of losing human
control.
The development of AI and its integration into different sectors requires a deep
understanding of both its potential and risks. Most importantly, using AI in a fair and secure
manner is crucial, ensuring that it serves the best interests of humanity.
