Abstract

Otkir Hoshimov's "The Works of the World" is one of the rare works of art in Uzbek literature that deeply and vividly illuminates the theme of spiritual values. This story is written in the memoir genre and is based on the events of the writer's childhood. According to the writer, "There is a magical power in the world that knows no boundaries and shines like the sun. This is Mother's love!" . This value is expressed in all parts of the work.

SPIRITUAL VALUES IN OTKIR HASHIMOV'S NOVEL

"THE WORKS OF THE WORLD"

ABSTRACT:

Otkir Hoshimov's "The Works of the World" is one of the rare works of art in

Uzbek literature that deeply and vividly illuminates the theme of spiritual values. This story is

written in the memoir genre and is based on the events of the writer's childhood. According to

the writer, "There is a magical power in the world that knows no boundaries and shines like the

sun. This is Mother's love!" . This value is expressed in all parts of the work.

INTRODUCTION

The novel "The Works of the World" by Otkir Khoshimov, a prominent figure in Uzbek

literature, has attracted the attention of readers and researchers not only for its artistic value, but

also for the deep spiritual values expressed in it. This work is based on the author's childhood

memories, and in it human qualities, family love, national traditions and moral ideals are

artistically depicted.

In the conditions of the increasing importance of spirituality in modern society, the

eternal values illuminated in works such as "The Works of the World" play an important role in

educating the human spirit, preserving national identity and strengthening social cohesion.

Qualities such as maternal love, loyalty, humility, and hard work shown through the heroes of

the novel can be a guide not only for the past, but also for present and future generations.

This study analyzes the main spiritual values in the novel "The Works of the World" and

studies their artistic expression, the author's worldview and their significance in modern life.

The spiritual issues raised in the work are important in the context of the development of the

human personality, the family system, and the preservation of national culture. Analytical study

of the selected work. The story "The Affairs of the World" by Otkir Hoshimov was chosen as

the main source, and the spiritual values​ in it (such as kindness, decency, humanity,

patriotism, honesty, justice) are analyzed. The artistic aspects of the text (language, style,

images, plot) and its philosophical and moral content are in the center of attention.

LITERARY-CRITICAL METHOD.

The spiritual values in the story are compared

with other works of the author, as well as with similar topics in Uzbek and world literature.

PHILOSOPHICAL-ETHICAL ANALYSIS

fate. Through the characters, the author wants to convey that all affairs in the world—moral

decisions, human relationships and life's trials—are resolved on the basis of spiritual values. In

Khashimov's artistic style, deep philosophical and spiritual issues are raised through ordinary

life stories. The story "The Affairs of the World" reminds the reader that if a person's heart is

pure and his intentions are honest, his path will always be bright. The work vividly depicts

ordinary village life during the Soviet era, its customs and traditions. The People's Writer of

Uzbekistan Said Ahmad described the work as "readable like a song." In the story "The Picture",

the writer emphasizes the importance of respect for parents. The fact that he regrets not taking a

picture with his mother shows the importance of this value.

The story raises the eternal spiritual

problems of humanity through ordinary life stories. The work skillfully depicts values ​ ​ such

as hard work, honesty, conscience, humanity, justice, and kindness.

Hard work and honesty are the foundation of human dignity

Through the main

characters of the story, the author shows the connection between work and social justice and

personal dignity. For example, the work depicts true craftsmen, people who work honestly even

in difficult conditions. Through this, Hashimov emphasizes that the value of a person is

reflected in what he creates with his hands and brain.

Human relationships are a test of love and loyalty.

The story extensively covers the

themes of loyalty, trust, and selflessness in family and friendship relationships. Some characters

lose loved ones due to negative traits such as selfishness and betrayal, while others achieve

happiness through their loyalty and devotion. Through this, the author emphasizes the

importance of sincerity in human relationships.

Moral choice - the struggle between good and evil

Hoshimov depicts the characters in

the process of making decisions in various life situations. Some find their way with the voice of

conscience, while others give in to their own desires and end up regretting them. Through this,

the author shows the impact of personal responsibility and moral decisions on life.

The transience of life and eternal values

The story reflects the idea that things like

happiness, wealth, and fame are temporary, but good deeds, memories, and traces in the human

heart are eternal. According to Hashimov, true wealth is the kindness done to people and the

reputation left behind.

CONCLUSION

Otkir Khashimov's story "The Works of the World" deeply and artistically interprets the

main spiritual values in human life. The main idea of the work is that the value of a person is

not reflected in his material wealth, but in his spiritual maturity, behavior and attitude towards

others. In the conclusion, the following main points can be highlighted: . Honesty and hard

work - through the heroes of the story, the author proves that honest work enriches a person not

only materially, but also spiritually. Even in difficult life circumstances, the heroes' loyalty to

their work brings them social justice and inner peace. Sincerity in human relationships - the

work praises such qualities as loyalty, trust and selflessness in family and friendly relationships.

Bad intentions and betrayal are always defeated. The importance of moral choice – Through the

choices his characters make at crucial moments in life, Hashimov shows that each person

creates their own destiny. Listening to the voice of conscience and following the right path

leads a person to spiritual maturity.
