Annotation:

This article analyzes Ne'mat Arslon's story "Moon Witch" and also discusses the

essence of the story, the writer's skill, and the images.

Keywords:

story, literary work, Uzbek storytelling, the content and idea of the literary

work, analysis and interpretation, social tragedy, writer's skill.
Ne'mat Arslon's work occupies a special place in the Uzbek prose of the independence period. In

particular, the writer's works are distinguished by their originality in artistic, ideological, and

expressive aspects. Modern Uzbek prose is increasingly globalizing and artistically interpreting

problems affecting the fate of all mankind. The Uzbek writer puts forward an oriental artistic and

philosophical concept in understanding the world and man, in defining his goals and tasks.
The essence of modern Uzbek storytelling has been devoting its life to illuminating a person's

self-understanding for more than a hundred years. Of course, the literary and creative

experiences of many of our writers have accumulated in the formation and development of this

genre, and it has acquired its current form. The unique creative experiences of writers such as

Abdulla Qahhor, Gafur Ghulom, Shukur Kholmirzayev, Otkir Hoshimov, Normurod Norqobilov,

Shoyim Botayev, Sobir Onar, Isajon Sultan, Ulugbek Hamdam, among the figures who created

the Uzbek storytelling school, also serve as master classes for young writers. Although the story

is the smallest genre of prose, it contains a huge worldview and life experience. The story has

been given various definitions and descriptions. However, the definition of each story, as Erkin

A'zam put it, is born with itself.
Below, we will try to determine the meaning and content, idea and purpose that the author has

attached to the story through the analysis of Ne'mat Arslon's story "The Magic of the Moon".

The concepts of analysis and interpretation are widely used in literary criticism, and they are

interrelated aspects of the process of understanding a work of art. Analysis and interpretation are

important in the process of understanding a work of art, understanding its content and essence.

The writer's story "The Magic of the Moon" talks about the ruthlessness of life and the sad story

of a village girl. Although the story has a relative volume and shortness of time, it can cover a

wider area of time with the help of various artistic means and reflect the entire life or the

main part of a person's life in his artistic world. Such a sign in the story can be clearly seen in the

work "The Magic of the Moon". In this work, one can see the expansion of the artistic

chronotope area with the help of the narrator's memories, thoughts, as well as the symbols

expressed in the pictures drawn by the old man at different stages of his life. Thus, in the area of

the artistic text, the tragic life of a person who fell into the clutches of the infamous time,

believed in its false ideology, murderous policy, and served its interests and development with

all his might, is fully revealed before the reader's eyes. Since the writer truthfully expressed the

relations between the era and the hero based on the criteria of historical truth, the dark scenes of

the system that had lived its life and was stuck in the sea of myth found their artistic reflection in

a very impressive way.
As the reader gets acquainted with the story, unexpected events, plot sequences immediately

encourage the reader to continue the story, wondering what will happen next.
The ending of the work may seem unnatural to the reader. Because after so many difficulties and

oppression, a beautiful ending is expected. But the writer unexpectedly creates a social tragedy

by connecting a situation that he himself does not want to happen. In this story, the eternal

problems inherent in all humanity have found their artistic solution in new directions, as a

synthesis of the traditions of Eastern and Western aesthetic thought.
It is clear from this story alone that Ne'mat Arslon wants to speak to the reader, humanity, in the

language of symbols, to infect him with his pain and world. In the example of this story, we can

say that in fact, the writer can easily create an artistic world even in traditional methods.

Determining the true roots, social, philosophical and historical foundations of the concept of the

world and man that Uzbek writers are putting forward today is one of the urgent problems of our

modern literary studies. Uzbek storytelling follows the path of artistic interpretation of the

subject, analysis of human dreams and hopes, personal experiences, and human psychology. In

artistic interpretations that have become essential, there is a strong desire to understand oneself,

which is also clearly manifested in the stories of Ne'mat Arslon.

CONCLUSION

From the stories cited, we can draw the following conclusion: the writer always draws

inspiration from life, from events and incidents in life. The writer does not directly describe life,

but recreates life based on a specific ideological and artistic goal. We believe that Ne'mat

Arslon's stories will find a place in the heart of every reader, ing helps to understand the true

meaning. His novels, stories and stories have been deservedly recognized not only by Uzbek

readers, but also by readers of the world.
