The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Education" (2020) defines preschool
education as the first and crucial stage of continuous education, emphasizing the role of moral
and social development in early childhood. Additionally, the Presidential Decree "On Measures
for the Further Development of the Preschool Education System" (2017) prioritizes enhancing
the quality of early childhood education and fostering close cooperation between educators and
parents.
Preschool education is the foundation of a child's development, laying the groundwork
for future learning and social adaptation. The social and moral upbringing of preschool children
is a shared responsibility of educational institutions and families. Both institutions provide the

foundation for instilling ethical values, social responsibility, and interpersonal skills. This article
examines how preschool institutions and families contribute to children's social and moral
education through cooperation and mutual support.
Social and moral education helps children develop key values such as empathy, honesty,
responsibility, and respect for others. During early childhood, children acquire fundamental
behavioral patterns that shape their future interactions. Proper socialization at this stage prevents
behavioral issues and fosters a sense of belonging and cooperation.
Preschool institutions provide structured environments where children learn essential
social skills. Teachers play a significant role in shaping children's moral perspectives through
planned activities, storytelling, role-playing, and interactive discussions. Educational programs
designed to instill ethical values are integral in preparing children for responsible citizenship.
The main goal of kindergarten-family cooperation is to support the personal, social and
moral development of the child. This cooperation:
Positively affects the intellectual and emotional development of the child, his adaptation
to the preschool educational organization.
Encourages parents to take an active part in the education and upbringing of their children.
Forms trust and mutual understanding between educators and parents.
Creates a unified educational and upbringing environment for the child.
Parents are the first educators of their children, influencing their moral and social
understanding through daily interactions. Positive parenting practices, such as reinforcing good
behavior, setting boundaries, and providing emotional support, contribute significantly to a
child's ethical development. The home environment serves as a primary context for social
learning. Collaboration ensures that children receive a unified moral framework, reducing
behavioral inconsistencies. An important factor in the effective upbringing of children is the
convergence of ideas, worldviews, and values of parents and educators, their unity, and mutual
respect for each other's opinions.
Some strategies to improve cooperation include:
Organizing parental workshops on moral education.
Implementing joint educational programs focusing on ethics and social behavior.
Encouraging daily ethical discussions – Parents and educators should discuss moral
dilemmas and encourage children to express their thoughts.
Setting a personal example – Children learn by observing adults, so modeling ethical
behavior is crucial.
Using storytelling and literature – Reading stories with strong moral messages helps children
internalize ethical values.
Organizing joint parent-child activities – Collaborative projects, community service, and
creative workshops enhance moral development.

Regular teacher-parent meetings – Open communication ensures consistency in moral
education between home and school environments.
In my opinion, the role of families in moral education is sometimes underestimated.
While preschools provide structured learning environments, the values taught at home play a
critical role in reinforcing moral behavior. To build a strong foundation, parents must actively
engage in their child's social and moral development. Moreover, educators and parents should
work together not just in theory but in daily practice, fostering an environment of mutual respect
and understanding. Only through sincere cooperation can we nurture responsible and
compassionate individuals for the future.
The partnership between preschool educational institutions and families is vital for
shaping socially responsible and morally conscious individuals. Strengthening this cooperation
through innovative methods will enhance children's socialization and ethical development,
ultimately benefiting society as a whole. Parents need to be actively involved in their children's
learning, and teachers need to communicate effectively with parents. When parents and teachers
work as a team, children can reach their full potential and get the best out of their education.
