.
In the context of globalization, interest in learning
foreign languages, in particular English, is motivated by
various factors: obtaining certain knowledge, studying
specialized literature, as well as receiving education in
English. At the same time, the development of e-
learning, the expansion of distance learning
opportunities, the world Wide Web are an additional
source of learning English as a foreign language.
Students' interest in learning English is increasing due
to the computerization of the educational process and
the development of Internet tools, which provides
access to all different types of information and serves
as an effective learning tool.
The use of ICT (information and communication
technologies) is directly determined by the capabilities
of the Internet and implies its interactive use in the
educational process when teaching English to
university students. The Internet is a reliable and
constantly updated source of general and special
materials that are very important for students.
Recently, more and more attention has been paid to
the independent work of students in learning English,
as well as the development of the communicative
aspect of the educational process. At the same time,
online learning technologies are effectively used. This
is especially characteristic of teaching English in
universities, which is characterized by the use of ICT.

Some teachers believe that access to Internet
materials should be monitored so that students do not
download unwanted materials. Users should be able to
effectively search for the necessary information
among a huge number of sources on the Internet,
therefore, teacher guidance is often needed when
choosing appropriate materials, otherwise students
may be stumped by the amount of information and its
linguistic complexity.
The Internet can serve as a good educational material
for fixing grammatical material in the form of pictures,
quizzes, sounds, music and movies.Classes using the
Internet can also complement the study of the
lexicology of the English language at the individual
pace of the student as an independent work. There are
sites on the Internet that provide such an opportunity.
Students can consolidate educational material,
improve listening and reading perception, as well as
vocabulary.
Most students actively use the Internet to learn
English. Internet-based learning promotes students'
independence through activities such as interpersonal
exchange, collection and analysis of information. The
main potential advantage of using the Internet in
English classes is a wide range of interactive activities
that allow you to stimulate independent learning. The
general attitude of students towards learning English
on the Internet is positive. Currently, the introduction
of a personal computer, technology multimedia and
the global information computer network Internet
affects the education system, causing significant

changes in the content and methods of teaching
foreign languages. The modern teacher faces the
problem of finding a new pedagogical tool. In my
teaching activity, I came to the conclusion that in
modern conditions, given the great and serious
interest of students in information technology, it is
possible to use this an opportunity as a powerful tool
for developing motivation in English classes. This
ensures successful work on the Internet, develops
students' reading of texts in English, and their skillful
use of information and grammatical materials when
learning English.
Thus, the educational process in English for university
students is currently impossible to imagine without the
widespread use of ICT. This, in turn, requires both
teachers and students to have good computer skills
and use the Internet.
