MYTHS OF THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD IN CHILDREN'S READING
Children's literature is an organic part of general literature, but has its own specifics, determined by the synthesis of pedagogical and aesthetic requirements. Children's literature focuses on the interests of the reader-child, written taking into account the psychology of a particular age. The language of the children's book is characterized by the richness of the artistic means used and, at the same time, by the availability associated with the selection of means that are close to the perception of the child.
ANALYSIS OF THE FREQUENCY OF THE USAGE OF ENGLISH AND UZBEK VERB TENSES IN (ORAL) SPEECH BY THE METHODS OF N. Y. SHEYKO
This article is dedicated to the analyses of the frequency of verb tenses in (oral) speech by the methods of N. Ya. Sheyko. The methods used by N. Ya. Sheyko based on the analyses of literary materials. In this investigation there were shown the percentage of the usage of verb tenses in English and Uzbek. The work includes the table of the dosage of verb tenses in both languages. It helps to create an opportunity in valid choice of language materials in learning grammar

GOTHIC FEATURES IN KEVIN RYAN’S NOVEL “VAN HELSING”
The Gothic novel, which appeared in English literature in the late XVIII and early XIX centuries, influenced the works of outstanding writers of all subsequent periods. The description of supernatural elements in the Gothic novel filled the reader with horror and fear. The genre of the Gothic novel, known in some sources as the "black novel", is widely developed, primarily in English literature. Gothic novels play an important role not only in English but also in world literature. They had a significant impact on the further development of many literary movements, both in Europe and in other parts of the world.
THE IMAGE OF THE CLIMATE CRISIS IN MEDIA: A CONCEPTUAL METAPHOR ANALYSIS
This article presents a conceptual metaphor analysis of the image of the climate crisis in media. Climate change has become one of the most pressing global challenges, and media plays a crucial role in shaping public perceptions and attitudes towards this issue. Metaphors are powerful linguistic devices used in media discourse to convey complex concepts and evoke emotional responses. This study aims to examine the conceptual metaphors employed in media representations of the climate crisis and their implications for public understanding and engagement. Through a comprehensive analysis of media texts, including news articles, opinion pieces, and visual imagery, this study identifies and interprets the dominant metaphors used to depict the climate crisis. The findings shed light on the ways in which metaphors shape public discourse, influence policy debates, and ultimately impact collective action on climate change mitigation and adaptation.
MNEMONICS AND ITS USAGE IN TEACHING AND LEARNING ENGLISH LANGUAGE
This study focuses on the development of memory retention, the most difficult and basic approach for learners. The purpose of this study was to find a way to improve memorizing retention after removing all the factors that prevent learners from dismissing data from the mind. The qualification research paper proposes several techniques and methods developed by renowned methodologists and teachers. These techniques and methods reveal mnemonics as a means of improving vocabulary retention for per-intermediate students in the learning centre which the researcher worked with. The subjects ranged in age from 14 to 16 and they are native speakers of Uzbek language. Number of learners in both groups almost the same: control group consists of 13 learners along with another group. In addition, the research paper describes the role of teachers and learners in collaborative language learning, possible obstacles to methods in their implementation, and how to overcome problems encountered. This study proposes strategies and sample activities for improving memory retention based on the experience and data collected. In addition, the qualification form shows the criteria for students taught in co-operative learning. Therefore, this paper consists of an introduction, a literature review, methods that describe the objectives of experiments and experiments, and discussions that disclose the results and results of the experiments. When reading a study, keep in mind that the improvement of remembering foreign words through mnemonics is a very broad subject and researchers have narrowed it down to make it easier for the reader to read.

ANALYZING ORAL ENGLISH COMMUNICATION CHALLENGES FACED BY ENGINEERS IN THE WORKPLACE: A CASE STUDY FROM PAKISTAN
This study aims to analyse the oral English communication challenges faced by engineers in the workplace in Pakistan. Effective oral communication skills are essential for engineers to succeed in their professional roles, particularly in an increasingly globalized and interconnected world. However, limited research has focused on the specific challenges faced by engineers in Pakistan regarding oral English communication. This case study utilizes qualitative methods, including interviews and observations, to explore the difficulties encountered by engineers when communicating in English in the workplace. The findings shed light on the specific areas of concern and provide insights into potential strategies and interventions to enhance oral English communication skills among engineers in Pakistan. The results of this study can inform language training programs, curriculum development, and workplace initiatives aimed at improving the overall communicative competence of engineers in English-speaking contexts.
