FEATURES OF IMPROVING ENTERPRISE PERFORMANCE THROUGH
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Abstract:
This paper analyzes the specific characteristics of developing economic sectors and
branches. It highlights the role of each sector in socio-economic life, the influencing factors, the
impact of innovative technologies, and trends in the digital economy. The study also addresses
the regional aspects of economic development.

As is known, economic reforms are an important factor in the development of society. The
Action Strategy pays special attention to this issue, and economic development and liberalization
are identified as the third priority area. In particular, further strengthening macroeconomic
stability and maintaining high economic growth rates. For example, over the past 26 years,
Uzbekistan has not lowered its GDP below 8%. It is among the top five fastest growing countries
in the world. Further development of this historical achievement and maintaining the status of an
economically powerful state is the main content of the Action Strategy.
It requires the introduction of new forms and methods of entrepreneurship, taking into account
the creative and innovative abilities of each citizen and the natural conditions of the place of
residence. Comprehensive and balanced socio-economic development of regions, districts and
cities, effective and optimal use of their existing potential, is an important task arising from the
Action Strategy. In this regard, it is necessary to introduce agriculture, animal husbandry, small
business and private entrepreneurship, appropriate forms and methods, based on the natural and
geographical opportunities, land and water conditions, lifestyle, needs, social problems and
psychology of each region, district and city. In this way, each citizen, based on his abilities,
worldview and life needs, will develop his creative abilities. As a result, the general mobilization
and creative spirit among the population of the entire country will increase.
Ensuring proportionality at all levels of the State Budget, while maintaining the social orientation
of expenditures, improving inter-budgetary relations aimed at strengthening the revenue side of
local budgets; continuing the policy of reducing the tax burden and simplifying the taxation
system, improving tax administration and expanding relevant incentive measures; further
developing international economic cooperation, including expanding relations with leading
international and foreign financial institutions, continuing to implement a well-thought-out
external debt policy, and effectively using attracted foreign investments and loans.
Deepening structural changes, increasing the competitiveness of the national economy through
modernization and diversification of its leading sectors:
Ensuring the proportionality and stability of the national economy, increasing the share of
industry, services, small business and private entrepreneurship in its structure; conducting an
active investment policy aimed at modernizing production, technical and technological renewal,
and implementing production, transport and communication and social infrastructure projects; to
create an effective competitive environment for economic sectors and gradually reduce
monopoly in the market of products and services; to increase the efficiency of existing free
economic zones, technoparks and small industrial zones, to establish new ones, to liberalize and

simplify export activities, to diversify the structure and geography of exports, to expand and
mobilize the export potential of economic sectors and regions.
The Concept of ensuring the safety of flood reservoirs and other water management facilities in
state programs and measures implemented within the framework of the specific features and
priority areas of economic development and liberalization was approved. This document
approves the Concept of water management development of the Republic of Uzbekistan for
2020-2030. Ensuring the safety and reliable operation of water reservoirs, flood reservoirs and
other water management facilities was identified as one of the priority areas of the Concept. In
conclusion, it should be said that the full implementation of this Concept in practice will serve to
sustainably provide the population and all sectors of the economy with water in the Republic in
2020-2030, improve the reclamation condition of irrigated lands, widely introduce market
principles and mechanisms and digital technologies in water management, ensure reliable
operation of water management facilities, and increase the efficiency of land and water resources
use.
In the current era of deepening market relations, the sustainable and balanced development of
sectors and branches of the economy is an important factor in ensuring the country's economic
potential and competitiveness. Each sector and branch has its own characteristics, and it is
necessary to thoroughly analyze the internal and external factors affecting their development.
Economic sectors are large groups of economic activities that differ based on the similarity of the
products produced or services provided. The economy is usually divided into the following main
sectors:
• Industry
• Agriculture
• Services
• Transport and communications
• Energy
• Trade
Each sector has its own production technology, investment requirements, labor resources and
market infrastructure.
Development trends in the digital economy. Industries and sectors are being transformed based
on digital technologies. Big data, artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies are being
introduced into production and service processes. E-commerce, digital banking, and online
education are widely developing.
Conclusions and suggestions. In developing industries and sectors of the economy, it is
important to take into account their specific characteristics, introduce modern technologies, and
rationally use regional resources. This will serve to strengthen the country's economic stability,
create new jobs, and increase the well-being of the population.
