Introduction

Sometimes life is so difficult and silent that only writers can capture the whispers of the heart’s

complaints on paper. Such writers, even if they do not live in abundance themselves, can

empathize deeply with the entire nation.

One of these writers was Gafur GulyamHe knew the bitterness of orphanhood from the day he

was separated from his mother’s embrace, and he felt poverty with every dawn. He was a poet

who revived the cries of children suffering in his heart through his words, sang about poverty,

and ignited goodness in darkness. “Mening o‘g‘rigina bolam” is not just a story; it is a collection

of heart-wrenching cries. This work calls us to be grateful for the peace we see today.

Main Body

Gafur Gulyam’s creativity is a unique expression of the light born in the dark and bitter days of

the past. He was never indifferent to the suffering of his people, and his heart always felt the pain

of the weak and helpless. Those times were not only historical pages but unforgettable periods of

pain in the hearts.

His childhood was spent in the agony of orphanhood. Being separated from his father, deprived

of his mother’s love, growing up in the cold margins of poverty—these hardships turned Gafur

Gulyam into a true teacher of life. He voiced his pain through words, but his words moved not

only his own heart but the hearts of the entire nation. Every word he wrote, every line, was a

fierce struggle for love, compassion, and humanity. During those times, people lived in constant

pain, oppression, and unrest. On one side were internal social problems; on the other were

political persecutions, wars, and deep poverty—these all weighed heavily on the writer’s pen.

Many of Gafur Gulyam’s works, especially his short stories, reflect the life of ordinary people

crushed under cruelty and punishment. Yet, he wrote not only about pain but also about hope and

goodness. His works did not just educate readers but sowed seeds of light and purity in their

hearts. Therefore, those dark years were both a trial and a source of inspiration for the writer.

Gafur Gulyam’s literary legacy urges us not only to reflect on the pain of his time but also to

appreciate today’s values of peace and prosperity. Through his life experience and creativity, he

showed that bright days and clear skies come after every oppression and poverty. That is why his

works and thoughts remain relevant and instructive for today’s peaceful Uzbekistan.

Conclusion

Today’s dawn is born from the nights of the past. Now, those nights are history. That pain is a

lesson. That cauldron is a legacy. Today, this land is clear. Children are in school, elders are

praying, and hearts are full. Now, instead of thieves coming from the roof, there are many

seekers of love walking at home.

Literature is a word spoken to the ear of the heart. G‘afur G‘ulom was a poet who connected the

nation’s heart to his own. “Mening o‘g‘rigina bolam” is the pain of the people, the torment of

childhood. But most importantly, this story is a divine warning to appreciate today’s prosperity.

Such works awaken thoughts and nurture gratitude in the reader’s heart. If a teacher does not

teach such a story with heart, it dies. But if read with feeling, the reader grows into a human

being.
