The monograph describes the pollution of soil with heavy metals due to automotive waste in Samarkand in 2019-2021, their soil components, the process of interaction with organic matter, methods for determining the amount of copper, local and modern methods of extraction of heavy metals from the soil. In addition, the risk of chemical contamination of the soil has been assessed from an ecological and hygienic point of view, and the presence of hazardous classes, mainly specific to 2-3-4 classes, has been identified. Heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, nickel, mercury, etc. are found in the landfill and the importance of plants in their emergence from the soil has been studied in detail.
