THE IMPORTANCE AND MORE EFFECTIVE ORGANIZATION OF
EXTRACURRICULAR LEARNING IN PRIMARY GRADES

Mazkur maqolada boshlang‘ich sinf o‘quvchilari uchun sinfdan tashqari
o‘qish faoliyatining ahamiyati, uning ta’lim-tarbiya jarayonidagi o‘rni, bolalarda kitobxonlik
madaniyatini shakllantirishdagi o‘rni haqida fikr yuritiladi. Shuningdek, sinfdan tashqari o‘qishni
tashkil etishning samarali usullari, o‘qituvchining roli va o‘quvchilarda mustaqil fikrlash,
tasavvur, estetik didni shakllantirishdagi ta’siri yoritiladi.

АННОТАЦИЯ:
В статье рассматривается значение внеклассной деятельности по чтению
для учащихся начальной школы, ее роль в образовательном процессе, а также ее роль в
формировании культуры чтения у детей. В нем также рассматриваются эффективные
методы организации внеклассного обучения, роль учителя и его влияние на развитие
самостоятельного мышления, воображения и эстетического вкуса у учащихся.

ANNOTATION:
This article discusses the importance of extracurricular reading activities for
primary school students, its role in the educational process, and its role in forming a reading
culture in children. It also discusses effective methods of organizing extracurricular reading, the
role of the teacher, and its impact on the formation of independent thinking, imagination, and
aesthetic taste in students.

The primary school period is the most important stage in which the formation, worldview and
thinking of the personality of children develops. During this period, it is important to instill in
readers an interest in reading, to form a habit of making friends with the book. Extracurricular
studies are an integral part of this process. He plays a huge role in ensuring the free thinking of
children, the development of creative abilities, spiritual perfection.
Main part
1. Content and purpose of extracurricular studies
Extracurricular reading is the process of introducing students to literary works at extracurricular
times, encouraging them to study independently. Such a form of reading serves to expand
children's own worldview, develop logical thinking, increase the wealth of speech.
In addition, through extracurricular studies, such qualities as spiritual and moral education,
loyalty to the motherland, humanism, hard work are strengthened in students.
2. Age characteristics of Primary School students

Elementary students will be at an age when they are curious, sensitive, figuratively thinking
about life. Therefore, the selected works of art for them should be age-appropriate, simple,
interesting, educational. Such works make children interested in reading, encourage them to
think, discuss.
3. The role of the teacher
The teacher is the chief initiator and organizer of the extracurricular learning process. He must,
taking into account the individual characteristics of the readers, recommend books suitable for
their interests, conduct discussions with readers, work on fairy tales, stories, poems.
In addition, the establishment of a classroom library, thematic book exhibitions, holding
competitions such as the "best reader" will strengthen students ' passion for reading.
4. Types of extracurricular studies
Extracurricular reading in elementary grades can take the following forms:
a) reading fairy tales and stories;
b) reading and memorizing poetry;
d) preparation of stage performances based on works of art;
e) holding literary evenings and meetings;
f) analysis of the work by drawing.
These forms increase the creative activity of readers, arouse affection for the book and expand
their range of thinking.
5. Criteria for productivity and efficiency
The following criteria can be used to assess the effectiveness of extracurricular reading activities:
a)reader's reading degree;
b) number of independently read books;
d) get an opinion on the content of the work;
e) active participation of students in the lesson and in addition to the lesson.
The study activities organized in this way not only increase the level of knowledge of students,
but also serve as a solid foundation for their moral maturity.
6. The role of the family in directing readers to reading
Cooperation with the family is important in the effective organization of extracurricular activities.
In families who read books together with their children, talk about the book, children are usually
more interested in reading. Parents can listen to their children's readings every day and respect
their opinion, increasing their interest in reading by encouraging them. The teacher, on the other
hand, should recommend parents a list of books suitable for children, explaining their
educational significance.
7. Possibilities of using digital technologies
In modern conditions, the process of extracurricular study can be organized not only by
traditional methods, but also using digital technologies. For example, children's interest in books
can be increased through audiobooks, e-literature, interactive games, online quizzes. This is
especially useful for students who learn visually and through hearing. Teachers can organize a
"Readers ' Club"on online platforms to engage students in virtual discussions.
8. Taste and approach are important when choosing a book
The attitude of students to study will largely depend on the works recommended to them.
Therefore, when choosing a book, it is necessary to take into account the age, psychological state,
interests and individual identities of children. A special "list of recommended books" is compiled

for each class, which should include works rich in spiritual and moral education, high in
simplicity and artistic level.
Conclusion.
Extracurricular studies are an integral part of the educational and educational process at the stage
of primary education. Through this activity, students develop a love of reading, creativity,
independent thinking, moral qualities. The teacher stands at the center of this process, and each
of his actions, his choices affect the future personal and social progress of the student.
