interest in reading books, the involvement of students in independent reading, the influence of
the family and school environment in this regard. The role of effective methods and tools for the
development of reading, teacher and library activities are also considered. The article includes

reading, Mutola culture, student, teacher, library, motivation, educational process.
Against the background of the increasing flow of information in modern society, encouraging the
younger generation to read books, the formation of a Mutola culture in them is one of the urgent
tasks. The book is not only a source of knowledge, but also a tool that shapes thinking, cultivates
aesthetic taste and enriches spirituality. Therefore, the promotion of reading in readers is
considered as one of the priorities of the educational system.
Educational and intellectual importance of reading
Through books, the reader understands the environment, society and human values. Mutola is an
important tool in the development of thinking, logical reasoning, speech culture. It also enhances
personal qualities – abilities such as patience, attention, memory, empathy.
The attitude of modern youth to the book and problems
Today's readers are turning to more visual and fast sources of information (social networks,
video content). This leads to a decline in mutolaa culture. Reasons for indifference to reading
include:
●Literature that does not correspond to the level of interest;
●Inadequate attention to reading in family and school;
● Vulnerability of library activities;
●Motivation in the reading process focused solely on getting an assessment.
Effective ways to develop reading
To arouse interest in reading in readers, the following methods are recommended:

●Interesting book selection-recommending literature suitable for age and interest;
●Reading clubs-regular book discussions among readers;
●Meetings with the author-literary evenings, communication with writers;
●Digital platforms – involvement in reading through audiobooks and e-books;
●Motivational approach-reward reading, evaluation through creative assignments.
Role of teacher and parent
The attitude towards reading in readers is first formed in the family. A child raised in an
environment where the parents themselves read books tends to Mutola. And the teacher, in the
course of the lesson, must instill love for Literature, be able to turn each book into a life lesson.
Balance between Media culture and reading
In the age of digital technology, children's attention is more focused on smartphones, computers
and social networks. This condition reduces interest in the mutation. Therefore, along with the
development of media culture in the educational system, it is necessary to form a culture of
Information selection. The student should be taught the skill of choosing literature, which is of
good quality, reliable and aesthetic value, and not any kind of information.
Age-specific psychological characteristics and literature selection
When choosing literature for each age stage, it is necessary to take into account the circle of
interest, worldview and level of psychological development of the reader:
●Fairy tales, adventures, poems for elementary students;
●Interesting stories for the middle link, fantastic works, life plots based on real events;
●Philosophical, artistic and social literature, national and World Classics are important for
upperclassmen.
Correctly selected literature not only increases the passion for reading, but also serves to develop
personal qualities.
Modern interpretation of the library
School libraries should now be reshaped not only as a place where the book is stored, but also as
an educational-spiritual environment. Modern Library:
●Gives recommendations to readers;
●Organizes reading events;

●Directs to electronic and audio resources;
Carries out interactive projects (for example, initiatives such as” 1 book in a month“,” Readers
'Choice“,” the book you recommend").
Through such activities, the library serves as an open space for students, in the form of a free
exchange of ideas and a Mutola environment.
Encouraging student creativity
Reading should be associated not only with reading, but also with creative activity. It is
advisable to involve students in the following activities:
●Preparation of presentation based on Read book;
●Continuing the story in the work or writing an alternative ending;
●Writing a letter on behalf of the heroes;
●Prepare blog entries or video reviews about the book.
These methods not only increase interest in the book, but also form skills such as analysis,
feedback, critical vision.
Harmonization of national literature and reading
It is possible to increase interest in the book by expanding the scope of literary works available
in school textbooks, analyzing them in a modern context. For example, explaining the work of
classical and modern ADIBS, such as Alisher Navoi, Abdullah Qadiri, Oybek, Mirtemir, in
connection with life themes — reinforces the connection between the inner world of the reader
and literature.
Through the works of national literature, readers acquire socio-life lessons, historical knowledge
and moral criteria.
Development of reading through digital tools
Today, most students actively use digital technology. This situation can be used in a useful way
in the development of reading:
●Audiobooks: the ability to perceive text by hearing develops;
●E-books (PDF, EPUB): ability to read on tablet, phone;
●Book applications and platforms (e.g. LitRes, Google Books, Kitob.uz) suitable works for
young people through;
●QR-code libraries-connect interactive books in schools and public places.

Also, through book reviews, blogs, video reviews, readers can share the works they read with
their peers, through which communication, exchange of ideas and social activism can be
enhanced.
Library analysis and monitoring system
In the development of reading, it is important not only to promote, but also to establish a system
of periodic analysis and assessment. For this:
●Keeping reading notebooks according to the books read by students;
●Determination of the level of assimilation through written and oral reviews;
●Inter-school or inter-class “most active reader” competitions;
●It is recommended to draw up reports on how many books were read in the school year, what
topics increased interest in. This system allows you to keep the library in constant control and
stimulate achievements.
Gender approach: differences in reading among girls and boys
Research suggests that readers ' interest in the book may vary by gender.
Girls choose literature on a more emotional, adventurous or social topic. Boys tend to be
technological, historical, or fantasy genres. With these differences in mind, literary choices and
propaganda techniques can be adapted.
Integrated approach: linking reading with other disciplines
Reading can be developed not only in a literature lesson, but also in other subjects:
●Historical science through historical novels and memoirs
●Through popular science works in biology
●Informatics through e-book and digital resources
This approach develops complex thinking and interdisciplinary connection.
Psychological approach: reading and Personality Development
Reading a book has a positive effect on the mental state of the reader:
●Reduces stress
●Strengthens empathy and understanding ability
●Increases language richness

●Develops self-expression skills
Through these aspects, reading can be seen as a means of personal maturation.
International experience and comparison
Some states have successful experiments to enhance reading culture:
Finland-regular reading sessions in schools, Family Study weeks;
Japan-every reader has a daily reading book;
UK-Read Aloud (voice reading) campaigns.
Sociological analysis: surveys and statistics
Survey of schoolchildren
●"How many books have you read in the last 1 month?” , “What's your favorite piece?"questions
such as
●Bringing the results in graphic or diagram form
●This scientific and analytical approach gives the article seriousness and objectivity.
Conclusion.
The formation of reading is an educational process that requires a long – term and systematic
approach. In today's educational institutions, the ability of a student to develop oneself is
becoming more important than learning. And Mutolaa is the most reliable tool in this regard.
Therefore, it remains one of the main tasks to instill love for the book in the hearts of the
younger generation in the collaboration of a teacher, librarian and parent.
