Abstract:
Women's speech is a unique phenomenon that differs from men's speech in many
aspects. It has its own characteristics that manifest themselves both at the level of perception and
description of the surrounding world, and at the level of relationships and communication. In this
paper, we will study the semantic features of women's speech based on Russian fiction.
Keywords:
women's speech, men's speech, semantics, lexeme, socio-cultural environment,
society, communication.
In women's speech, nature and landscape are often considered from the point of view of their
beauty and harmony. Women pay attention to the colors, shapes and textures of natural objects,
as well as their interaction. They can describe nature using metaphors and epithets, creating
bright and imaginative pictures. For example, they can compare the color of flowers with the
shades of dawn or describe the movement of clouds as a flowing dress put on the sky [Voichenko
V. M. Reflection of gender stereotypes in language and culture // Bulletin of the Volgograd State
University. Series 2: Linguistics. - 2009. - No. 1. - P. 64-70.].
One of the characteristic features of women's speech when describing nature and landscape is the
use of soft and melodic sound images. Women prefer words with vowel sounds that create an
atmosphere of peace and tranquility. For example, they can use the words "rustle", "whisper",
"rustle" to describe the sounds made by nature. These sound images help to create an image of
nature filled with harmony and peace.
Analyzing various works, the study is aimed at identifying and analyzing the semantic features
characteristic of women's speech. The main subject of the study is the lexical, grammatical and
stylistic features of women's speech, which can reflect the specific features of women's
worldview, emotionality, communication and interaction with the outside world. The work aims
to reveal and analyze these features, as well as to identify their role in shaping the image of
women in literature.
Semantic features of perception and description of the surrounding world in women's speech are
an interesting research topic that allows us to consider the features of women's perception and
description of nature and landscape. Women's speech, as a reflection of a woman's inner world,
has its own characteristics, which are manifested in the choice of words, the formation of phrases
and the expression of emotional coloring [Zhabbarova M. Semantic types of speech // Science
and Education. - 2022. - Vol. 3. - No. 4. - P. 2100-2103.].
Women's speech has its own characteristics that reflect not only linguistic, but also socio-cultural
aspects of female identity. By analyzing Russian fiction, researchers can identify and analyze
these features, which will allow for a deeper understanding and interpretation of women's speech
in various contexts. Such research will help expand our knowledge of the role and influence of
women's speech on society, and may also be useful for the development of gender studies and

linguistics. One of the main aspects that determine the semantic features of perception and
description of the surrounding world in women's speech is associated with emotionality and
aesthetic perception. Women, as a rule, are more sensitive to the environment and are able to
notice the smallest details of nature and landscape. They have a rich emotional perception and
are able to convey their emotions through speech. Another semantic feature of perception and
description of the surrounding world in women's speech is the emphasis on the emotional
component. Women, as a rule, are more emotional and are able to convey their feelings and
impressions through speech. They can describe nature using emotional epithets and comparisons
to convey their admiration or joy. For example, they can describe flowers as "delicate",
"beautiful" or "magical" to emphasize their love for nature [Radzhapova N. B. Semantics of
gender vocabulary in the linguistic picture of the world (based on Russian and Uzbek proverbs) //
Educational Research in Universal Sciences. - 2023. - Vol. 2. - No. 3. – P. 339-342.].
Another aspect that determines the semantic features of perception and description of the
surrounding world in women's speech is the use of the symbolic meaning of natural objects.
Women can use natural objects such as flowers, trees or water bodies to convey certain ideas or
emotions. For example, they can use flowers as a symbol of love and tenderness or trees as a
symbol of stability and strength. This helps them express their thoughts and feelings more
accurately and effectively.
Thus, the semantic features of perception and description of the surrounding world in women's
speech are an interesting topic of research. Women's speech is characterized by emotionality,
aesthetic perception and the use of the symbolic meaning of natural objects. It allows women to
express their thoughts and feelings through bright and figurative pictures, creating a unique
atmosphere and perception of the surrounding world. The features of perception of the
surrounding world in women's speech are the result of the interaction of various socio-cultural
factors that influence the formation and expression of women's experience and worldview. In this
section, we will consider the role of these factors in shaping the perception of the surrounding
world in women's speech.
First of all, it should be noted that sociocultural factors play an important role in the formation of
stereotypes and ideas about women in society. These stereotypes and ideas can affect the
perception of the surrounding world and influence the ways of describing it in women's speech.
For example, in some cultures, women can be expected to be caring and emotional, which can
affect the way they perceive the surrounding world and describe it [Sadikova E. V. Synonymy of
proverbs with anthroponym components based on the collection of Russian proverbs by V. Dahl
// SCHOLAR. - 2024. - Vol. 2. - No. 5. - Pp. 9-13.]. One of the important sociocultural factors
influencing the perception of the surrounding world in women's speech is gender socialization.
From early childhood, girls are taught to be attentive to the emotional aspects of communication,
as well as to care for other people. This can affect the way they perceive the surrounding world
and describe it in women's speech. For example, women may pay more attention to the emotional
states of others and describe them in detail, as well as pay attention to details and nuances in the
environment [Nazarova M. N. Specifics of Teaching Russian to Foreign Students // European
Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Development. - 2023. - Vol. 12. - P. 236-238.].
Another important factor influencing the perception of the world around us in women's speech is
the social role of women in society. In some cultures, women may be expected to be caring and
responsible for the family and household. This may be reflected in the way they perceive the
world around them and describe it. For example, women may pay more attention to details in the
house or on the street, such as decorations, flowers, or furnishings, and describe them in more
detail. In addition, the social role of women may also influence the way they perceive and
describe relationships with other people. For example, women may pay more attention to the
emotional aspects of interaction, such as empathy, support, and mutual understanding. They may

describe these aspects in more detail and use more emotionally charged words and expressions.
It should also be noted that sociocultural factors can influence the choice of topic and content of
women's speech. In some cultures, women can be expected to be caring and interested in family,
children and household issues. This can be reflected in the topic and content of their speech, as
well as in the way they perceive the world around them. For example, women can describe their
impressions of family events, children or home environment in more detail and emotionally.
In conclusion, the features of perception of the world around them in women's speech are the
result of the interaction of various sociocultural factors. Gender socialization, the social role of
women and the choice of topic and content of speech play an important role in shaping the
perception of the world around them in women's speech. Understanding these features will help
us better understand and describe the specifics of women's perception and description of the
world around them.
