Frequently ill children in the khorezm region

Аннотация

Children who are often ill are children who are prone to frequent respiratory infections. Epidemiological studies indicate that most children suffer from 3 to 5 episodes of acute respiratory infections (ARI) during the year, and the incidence is higher in children of the first 5 years of life, especially in those attending organized preschool groups, the maturation of the immune system at this age has not yet been completed.

Relevance: Children who are often ill are children who are prone to frequent respiratory infections.

Epidemiological studies indicate that most children suffer from 3 to 5 episodes of acute respiratory
infections (ARI) during the year, and the incidence is higher in children of the first 5 years of life,
especially in those attending organized preschool groups, the maturation of the immune system at this
age has not yet been completed.

The purpose of this study was to study the immune status of frequently ill children in the Khorezm

region.

Research methods: In the Khorezm regional tuberculosis dispensary, 15-40% of children suffer from

respiratory infections much more often than their peers, accounting for up to 67.7-75% of all cases.

Often sick children are a group of dispensary observation, it includes children whose increased

susceptibility to respiratory infections is not associated with persistent congenital, hereditary or acquired
pathological conditions. The pathogenetic basis of frequent respiratory diseases is changes in the
homeostatic balance of the immune system. These changes are nonspecific, multidirectional and can
affect all parts of the immune system. Disorders of the immune system are manifested by a decrease in
secretory IgA in 85% of children, suppression of the activity of the interferon system, the first link of
protection against pathogens, in 70-89% of children.

Acute respiratory infections in children are most often manifested in the form of infections of the

upper and lower respiratory tract, ENT organs. Recurrent respiratory infections often lead to persistent
impairment of the functions of the respiratory, digestive, central and autonomic nervous systems,
disruption of adaptive and compensatory mechanisms. Bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis and some other
diseases are more common and more severe among children who are often ill. When studying the features
of real communication in a group, children who are often ill are characterized by the predominance of
single-player play, and the level of playing skills is usually below the age limit. By the age of 7-8, almost
40% of children who are often ill have chronic bronchopulmonary pathology.

Conclusion: the success of improving the health of children who are often and for a long time ill lies

in the active participation of the child's family, lifestyle revision and the implementation of a therapeutic
and preventive program.
