Abstract

This article explores the intersection of Articial Intelligence (AI) and Information Gap Activities (IGAs) within the framework of Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) to enhance speaking skills in higher education. Growing need for communicative competence in English, especially in Uzbekistan, the integration of AI-powered tools into IGA oers innovative pathways for both teachers and learners. This contribution outlines the practical applications, advantages and disadvantages of AI-assisted individual guided activities (IGAs) and oers methods for improving their eciency specically within the context of teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) with students who are earning bachelor's degree, because the theory is rooted in practice.
