О ПОЭМЕ “XAФТ ПАЙКАР” НИЗАМИ ГАНДЖАВИ
Abstract
Nizami Ganjavi’s “Haft Paykar” constitutes a highly sophisticated literary-philosophical construct in which cosmological paradigms, ethical doctrines, and a multilayered symbolic architecture converge. Through the progressive characterization of Bahram Gur, Nizami articulates a paradigm of ideal kingship grounded in the harmonization of political authority with metaphysical order and moral self-cultivation. The seven narratives delivered by the seven princesses operate as a semiotic matrix encoding archetypal patterns of human spiritual evolution, including existential trial, epistemic awakening, and ethical refinement. The poem’s elaborate system of chromatic, planetary, and mythopoetic symbolism establishes its metaphysical framework and functions as a vehicle for conveying Nizami’s didactic and philosophical intentions. As a canonical text within the Persian literary tradition, Haft Paykar serves as a pivotal source for examining the development of medieval Eastern ethical thought and symbolic poetics.
