This scientific study analyzes the psychological characteristics of teaching 3–4-year-old children to follow social norms and rules. The research examines the mechanisms of social norm acquisition in preschool children based on their social behavior, emotional development, play activities, and interactions with adults. Observation results show that at this age, children follow social rules not through logical reasoning but through emotional experience. Therefore, play activities, adults’ personal example, a positive emotional environment, encouragement, and continuous communication play an important role in teaching social norms. The study highlights the psychological characteristics of 3–4-year-old children and the importance of cooperation between educators and parents in forming their moral awareness. The findings are enriched with practical recommendations for effectively organizing the process of social and moral education in preschool educational institutions.References
